"We only stayed for 1 beer because there were so many kansas city chief fans... Like 100%..they took over every available space in and outside. Cool gig for them i guess but probably wouldnt watch, or intend to watch anything else! The food did look good though .."

"Home and away is an awesome bar if you are visiting San Diego. 30 to 40-year-old crowd awesome food and great atmosphere. It’s worth noting that this is a Kansas City Chiefs bar so if you’re a Chiefs fan and in San Diego, this is your place. They put up a huge screen on the back patio which is huge and amazing."

"Cool little place a short walk from old San Diego. Great atmosphere for a sports bar that isn't themed beyond that. Outdoor seating is awesome and plentiful. Indoors is a bit dark, but good for conversations. Bartenders are helpful and personable. They have a great knowledge of local beverages and beyond. Will definitely be back next trip through."

"Big fan of home and away. Stopped here for some playoff football. It was set up very well and tons of people showed up. It is a chiefs bar so I’d suggest visiting for a chiefs game. They also have some connection to along all which was a very tasty spiked tea drink. Good deals and interesting flavors. I’m from Chicago but would buy some if I found them in stores back in the Midwest."

"Everything about this establishment is great. The staff is stellar, knowledgeable, attentive, but still friendly and laid back. The beer and liquor selection was excellent with plenty of local favorites. The seating was spacious indoor and outdoor to suit your preference. The music playlist was on point The menu was extensive and well priced for the high amount and quality of bar food offerings. Everyone with us really enjoyed the vibe, food, and drinks! A must visit in San Diego for sure!"
