Reviews
"3 of us ate there and ended up with diarrhea. The restaurant had no A/C and we were so uncomfortable sweating. They also had extremely dim lights."
"Great little sushi place with an interesting atmosphere and reasonable prices. They run drink and sushi specials regularly which are actually quite good. Things like buy 3 get a 4th free. They have 2 vegan options that were quite good, nothing special but tasty none the less. Highly recommend if you are in the area. It is just down the road from a golf course and makes a great spot to eat after a round."
"When it comes to SUSHI Rolls, Sushiko has that skill mastered. We ordered 2 Bento boxes with the California roll, the spicy California roll, the shrimp tempura roll, & the spicy salmon rolls we also ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl, the veggie gyoza, & the Mama Mia roll. Each roll was delightfully delicious. The miso soup was also pretty tasty. We did take our leftover rolls home, that's how yummy they are. Now, here's why I gave less stars: the teriyaki sauce was extremely salty, the gyoza was over cooked, the spicy salmon roll was mistakenly replaced with a filled of teriyaki salmon (which was also way over cooked & kind of burnt), the tofu in the miso soup was mushy. Also, the women's restroom was not well maintained & both stalls were out of seat covers. They are short staffed, as posted on the door when you walk in & I realize that their specialty is sushi rolls, not the other stuff. With that in mind, I'm willing give it another shot in the future. The waitress was nice & tentative, the pricing was fair, & the music great (something my 35 y/o husband, my 12 y/o daughter & myself could enjoy together)."
"The sushi, service and eating area are all on point! Definitely on my top list for great sushi in Bakersfield. As an update to this post, if I could give 6 stars I would. The ambiance, layout and design are very traditional with a modern twist. Also as being on the Keto diet lately, they were more than accommodating with not only providing me with what I wanted, but also additional items that I didn't know would fit my diet! Easily one of my best experiences at a sushi restaurant."
"We were visiting Christmas Town and we are not from the are so we wanted something close by. We were impressed. Food tasted great and the visual was just as good. We liked the unconventional names of the rolls. The decor inside was great! We had a very noisy 3 year old with us and they were accommodating and helpful. My party ordered a variety of rolls and one appetizer. Would highly reccomend this place if you're not from the area. The only problem was that I ordered too much food!"
