"so today I tried to return a defective pair of boots I bought for my daughters 16th birthday. She wanted to wear them for her birthday party. she wore them for a couple of hours and the boots ripped apart. She ended up having to take them off and go barefoot, so she didn’t hurt herself. Today i tried to return them or even just exchange as she loves them. The guy told me no because there is no proof it’s a defect since she wore them. I could understand that if it was a scuff or something minor. the boots literally ripped off the sole. pretty sure that is not a normal wear and tear situation. for me these boots were expensive and i can’t afford to buy a new pair. The company ethics policy states that their main belief is integrity, yet i didn’t see that today. the worst part was I was told if i had a problem with it I had to contact customer service. Which I did and the poor guy on the phone was super confused as to why I was calling. Customer service only handles online orders. he told me it should have been taken care of in store and he felt bad it wasn’t handled properly . Again not seeing integrity from this store."

"You cannot go wrong shopping at Macy. They have a women section and a men's section at the other side of the mall. Stock pickup can vary on what item you buy so I went to both store to pickup a online order. The customer service line at the woman Macy can be busy but good thing they have a separate line for online pickup. The women macy store is 3 floors and there toys r us on the 3rd floor. The employees are throughout the store and can vary on their helpfulness depending who's helping you. I never had an issue when coming to either Macy store inside Northridge mall."

"If it wasn't for the Black Friday deals... This department store is expensive, unorganized, and hard to find things you are looking for. I would have liked to see more home decor and the giant Jeffrey, the Toys r Us giraffe, took our mind off of our goal... But I am not mad."

"October 7, 2023: visited and purchased shoes, all of the sales people in the department were helpful and worked as a team. I have never seen this shoe department being so helpful in the past. I have been going to this Macy’s for years. Visited the purse department and purchased purses, excellent service, the employees were helpful and went above and beyond. Went to the make up section, Farah from the Dior counter, provided excellent service, and purchased some make up from her as a result. All of this for a special day for my daughter worked out great. Thank you for the staff that was attentive that day as they did a great job. Came back again at night to buy myself one piece of clothing, and the cashiers at the INC department were very nice. For the rare times that I get to shop I am so thankful for this experience."

"I was just at Macys and purchased a couple of perfume that I usually wear. I asked the sales associate if she can give me a couple samples as I normally buy my perfumes at their Glendale Galleria location but the sales woman told me that they don’t have samples to give. I told her my sister just purchased hers from another sales associate and she gave her some samples. Made me say to myself that I should have just bought them at the Galleria since they provide great customer service."
