"Normally we've had great experiences but today we bought 2 lb. of crab legs. Got home and the crab was moldy and bad. Called vons and whoever we talked to said not problem bring it back. We went back and were about to get an exchange from a very nice employee in the fish department when out of nowhere appears Jaime. Jaime takes over the conversation and says that we cannot have more crab and that we need to go to the manager. We go to the manager and explain that we are not asking for a refund but just some good crab for lunch. He doesn't seem to understand and end up giving us a credit voucher. Very odd behavior by everyone except the first employee who's name i wish I remembered. Anyway, we still don't have crab......."
"When I worked at Von's customer service was one of our main focus, but I guess thats not true anymore. I went in to Vons to get a few items and they had their buy 4 mix/match display in front of the store, so I picked up 4 of the items. When I went to check out the register didn't give me the discount, so I called a clerk over and she said that I would have to buy 4 of the same items to get the discount, and I explained no it's part of the mix and match 4, but she argued with me and then went and got her manager. Again the manager argued with me, so I left my stuff and walked out. I thought maybe I was wrong so the next day I went back looked over their display and I wasn't wrong. Went to the superior and pointed out their display and that it's misleading and what had happened the day before and all she said was "I'll talk to my checkers". No apology, no lets fixs this, nothing just "i'll talk to my checkers and walked away from me. I get better service at Walmart then I do here. Bye Bye Grover Beach Vons."
"Excellent grocery shopping. And the added bonus is that you can pick up your prescriptions at their pharmacy. All around , awesome store. Lastly, if you like Hotwheels as I do, they have a nice sized barrel of them and also a few strips of them in the middle of the store."
