"Sumiya is an absolute gem! Our to go options any time we crave Japanese food (sushi/sashimi aside). The open kitchen adds to the authenticity, and the atmosphere is wonderfully genuine. We can't get enough of their Yurinchi. Also, if you are adventurous, the chicken liver and heart skewers were fantastic!"

"The restaurant is nice, quiet, cozy, clean, and peaceful. You have to scan the qr code to order by yourself. If you don't have a phone, they can help to order for you. The food good but not as I remembered long time ago. Good place to have lunch or dinner with family or friends."

"Authentic yakitori place, typical wait around 30-45mins but if you don’t mind the bar, you might get seated much faster. Favorite skewers include scallop, pork with scallions and beef with sauce. Also enjoyed the beef tongue and mushrooms. Servers very responsive and the ordering system is intuitive and simple enough even for a newbie. One of the hidden gems in South Bay area. Well worth the trip!!"

Only thing we didn't like was their Yelp Waitlist system. It is confusing! But we didn't wait too long so I guess I should not complain much but minus one star."
