"Excellent quality sushi. The fish are really fresh and high quality, however, the rice is a bit too hard. But overall the food is above the average! Highly recommend for a date night! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10pc Sushi Tasting Uni Nigiri Toro Tasting Chicken Karaage"
"Me and my girlfriend really like the Sushi and Sashimi there, we ordered the Omakasi and the Salmon fish in three ways!"
"I visited Sasa located in the Japan Center East Mall, and it was amazing! Definitely of the better Japanese dining experiences I’ve had in my life. I recommend ordering from their sushi tasting menu, as they have lots of premium quality fish that is worth trying. I ordered the 9 mini chirashi bowl mystery box, for which the chef selects 9 different items for your meal (omakase style). The sea urchin and scallop were two of my favorites! If I come back I’ll probably want to try their actual omakase next time! Here’s everything I ordered: Mystery Box 9 Chirashi Bowl including Scallop, Sea Urchin, Salmon, Hamachi, Wagyu - $56 (considering most traditional omakase experiences cost more than this I thought this was a good deal!) Kaisen Futomaki Roll - Tuna, Salmon, Hamachi, Scallop, White Fish, Ikura, Tamago, and Avocado ($20) Agedashi Tofu ($12) Green Tea"
"The raw fish was fresh but the rice was a little hard and cold. Originally the guy didn't want to seat us when there were over 16 seats available scattered over the restaurant. Online booking time was available almost an hour later. We asked to sit at the bar area and he made it seem like it was "hard to move things around" an hour later the same seats that were available an hour earlier were still available. I don't understand how a host would rather lose clients than seat them. Things got better once we got our server. She was nice and attentive. The tofu was hot and had crab sauce on the bottom. The uni and ikura bowl was fresh but the rice was not hot or soft enough. Fried chicken was hot and had big pieces. The little got two avocado rolls."
"So far this is my best Japanese dining experience this year(2023). Insider Secret, order the sushi tasting menu and leave it to the excellent chefs to decide. This way you will get great value and are able to sample many different items. The quality and variety of the fish some of the best I’ve had outside japan. The rice perfectly seasoned. The portions quite generous. The mystery box is actually 2 pieces of each item served so can easily be shared. Fantastic dining experience, highly recommended if you looking for japanese cuisine in sf."
