"This was one of our favorite meals in a while. Kemuri is our current favorite restaurant and I would drive up from South Bay just for a meal there. Highly recommend checking this place out. Our favorite dishes were the mushroom tempura, spicy chicken wings, and wagyu rice bowl/paella. We thought the unagi sliders were just okay and would love to try other dishes like the garlic fried shrimp and black cod."
"Quality of the food is pretty top notch, but pricing for the portion is also steep. The uni paella was really yummy- but even though they doubled the portion of uni for today's special, I still thought they could be more generous with the portion to bring out the uni flavor. Portion is just enough for 2. Tofu veggie bowl surprised me with it's delicious sauce, the fried tofu was also great. Shiitake karage and tonkotsu were good but nothing too special. The limited ox tail ramen was slightly disappointing, broth was on the thinner side and noodles could've been chewier. Overall good experience!"
"Prices are a bit high but everything was very high quality and tasty. We ordered the skewers under the chef special, chicken karage, a seasonal fried oyster dish, and the beef+uni paella. I would say the skewers were the least impressive but still worth trying once. The karage was a much larger portion than expected and had the right balance of juiciness and crunch. The oysters were probably my favourite, the flavours were just more elevated and impressive. The paella was really great as well but I think I would order the one without the uni next time since it didn’t wow me at the price. We ended the night with the black sesame ice cream with matcha mochi which was excellent!"
"Love the environment and the vibe - hard to describe what it is but it’s vivid, lively, chill, and comfortable. Food is great. Uni rice is a must try. Drinks are good. Tried both takeout as well as dine-in - both good options. If I can have one complaint (more so of a recommendation ), I spent $70 here for a meal but I was still hungry after it… a slightly bigger portion would be fantastic! Doesn’t change my 5-star rating though."
"Delicious food; definitely on the bougie and pricey side with not necessarily large portions, but I think it was well worth it if you go in knowing what to expect. I think the highlight of the night has got to be the scallops with the uni sauce; which had such a strong uni flavour and very cool aromas from the actively smokey charcoals they serve the scallops over. Make sure not to lose a single ikura through the grates! Other high points i’d recommend include the salmon and ikura benedict and the matcha brulee! Cocktails were also great."
