Nakama Sushi

"Had dinner at Nakama and everything was delicious. We had two nigiri tastings, steamed egg with crab/shrimp, and grilled squid - and were very happy with every dish. The service and ambiance are lovely as well. Coming from NYC we are used to being spoiled with great sushi. So glad we found Nakama here in SF!"

"Nakama sushi is a place my father in law has been going for years and I had not yet made it to because of just how many sushi options there are in the city; I’m so glad I changed that and got to eat there recently. We stuck to almost exclusively Nigiri along with seaweed salad, miso soup, and some sake. I have to say that every single bite was truly wonderful. The fish was fresh and full of flavor at a reasonable price point for the quality. We actually wanted to order a second round but they only had one waiter working and that part didn’t work out. I hope to make it back soon on a less busy or more well staffed night and eat my body weight in delicious nigiri."

"We came here spontaneously after craving some sushi for dinner and thought this would be a good place to meet up since it was close to Hayes Valley and already had good ratings. We were a group of 5 and were worried that there wouldn't be a table available so last minute so we called in beforehand to ask for a table and they said they could have something right away. We had Uncle Ben as our server and I really appreciated him being our server. I also thought the food was great! :) It was neatly presented, flavorful, well portioned and appropriately priced. I liked the Chef Special, 49ers, and the Rainbow Roll. I also liked the grilled scallops for the appetizer. Will have to say that Uncle Ben really made the dinner experience feel special by doing things like giving us extra ginger without us asking for it. Thank you uncle ben :)"

"Uncle Ben was our Host/Server, he was great and made the entire experience worth while! The food was stunning. Sushi was super fresh and melt in your mouth, and given it was My girlfriends and i anniversary i decided to get the A5 Wagyu beef and it was amazing and worth every penny. Thank you again Uncle Ben! We will be back soon!"

"Amazing! We had a great time, food was delicious and memorable. The service was impeccable and polite. The tempura was crispy and veggies soft and crunchy. The umami flavor from the unagi was great. And the karaage chicken was juicy and crunchy. The rolls were amazing. Thanks!"
