"So went to San Francisco, to check out some stellar architecture. We were not disappointed, until we came to this place. It was open to appointments only for clothes fittings....... When an employee came to the door we had mentioned why we came to the city, he dismissed us as if we were not worthy of entry. It's one of Frank Lloyd Wright marvelous designs that needs to be seen by anyone and everyone. Not just some pompous rich elite, as the employee seems to be catering to. Just wanted to check out the interior and be on our way, in no way would be have impeded anyone's appointment. I wouldn't Dare drop a dime in this place. I'd love to see this pompous establishment removed from there as they are not worthy to use this place. An absolute shame. Mr. Lloyd Wright would be appaled this place was using one of his places as it is being used now."
"The clothings are expensive, but not astronomical, anyone who wants to buy can afford it. Maybe it was not a terrific weather, maybe I did not drop a large amount of money, and wasted their time, I felt small in the store, in the sense that I was indicated that I did not need to try anything, and touch anything, and mostly for serious buyers. I know it might be an individual case, but I felt unwelcomed there. I always hear this ' We forget what we see, what we hear, but we won't forget how other people make us feel'. I feel bad about myself during that visit."
"The ISAIA store has made several pieces for me and I've bought some great casual dress clothes off the rack. The hospitality for customers is fantastic. The building is a marvel with a storied history. I appreciate that it is kept a private venue for people shopping and that they keep it so nice!"
"I booked an appointment to see Frank Lloyd Wright's amazing architectural design which now houses Isaia and the employee in his expensive Italian tailored suit and long shaggy gray hair wouldn't let me look around because he said it is only for clients who are actually shopping and looking to buy something. I doubt every single client that books an appointment actually buys something. I bet most people just browse around. One look on glassdoor said it all. A former employee wrote “ Walk-in” business is extremely limited (unless they’re tourists). Based on previous reviews, other people were allowed to look around the building because they were interested in Frank Lloyd Wright's design. The employee with the shaggy hair allowed me to take photos from the entrance which I guess is better than nothing considering it took me 40 minutes to get there. It was really disappointing. Would I have been allowed to look around if I called and made an appointment "pretending" to be a customer and just browsed around, not buying anything? Perhaps. I doubt another customer was coming in that day. There was no one and I mean absolutely no one in the boutique store. My guess is Isaia won't last long in the building and they don't deserve to occupy Frank Lloyd Wright's beautiful design. I can see an art gallery there but not an Italian men's brand whom no one has ever heard of."
"Stunning architectural space – the only Frank Lloyd Wright in San Francisco (interior redesign). The staircase really is a marvel, and they were friendly enough to let me view it. That's what brought me in, but I found myself very attracted to the apparel. The clothing really is very beautiful, and it's a great addition to Maiden Lane. I would have been interested to learn more about it – some of the blazers caught my eye – but everyone working seemed busy with other things, so I ended up leaving after a while. It may be better to make an appointment first, even if you're not going in for a full suit. Definitely worth looking at the outside if you're in the neighborhood, though, and maybe peeking in to see if they're busy."
