Reviews of Besthibachi
"I have to give this place 5 stars .. the best hibachi for real! My only suggestion is to ask them not to over cook the chicken.. prices are a lil high but for the amount of lobster but the TASTE IS AMAZING so they get my money every time I come in town if I make it in time."
"Way too over priced over priced and very bland flavor for price or fast casual restaurants. But it also takes forever to get your food even if you pre called your order in."
"The food tastes good, but a little expensive. The problem is they TAKE FOREVER, 30 min wait for take out food, is WAY unreasonable. You can see the them moving slow as heck, I almost missed an interview, they told me 10 minutes and it took an hour. The food's too good that's why I keep coming back and deal with the slowness. Lunch special is worth it tho!"
"A little on the pricey side, but the food is delicious. They grill your choice of meats alongside fried rice and veggies. I got the New York steak, lobster, shrimp, and scallops on the side. Great place to go after a night of drinking on the town as the carbohydrates will absorb all the alchohol; convenient it is located across from a bar. It is also conveniently open til 2 am on the weekends. They ran out of filet mignon both times I've been there late at night, but the food is delicious and the portion size is decent too. One box can have 2 servings in it."
"This review should be 3.5 Stars but I'm feeling generous. I also genuinely hope this review is helpful to the owners of the establishment. 5 Stars Food 2 Stars Price 1 Star Experience/Service We paid $47 after tip for the photo of food you see. Shrimp + Steak Combination plus an upgrade to fried rice + tip. I initially felt like we got ripped off but in the end it was more than enough food for 2 people. We walked in and there was zero signage or instructions on what to do. There was an employee working behind a register who was definitely not happy that ANYONE was there. There were two chefs behind windows. We found a paper menu on a table near the unhappy register employee and decided to try and order. I got zero smile or response after ordering and paid the 47 dollars. The employee handed us a handwritten ticket and didn't say anything. I asked how long and she said about 20 minutes. During the 20 minutes of waiting we saw at least two groups come in and immediately leave as they were probably just confused or they saw the prices. That said we got our food and took it to go. This isn't the place you'd want to eat or hang out in. No alcohol or anything that is inviting or would make someone want to hang out. After we got home we divided up the food and it was honestly really really delicious. Steak was super tender very high quality, Shrimp were decent sized, cooked perfectly and just delicious. The chicken fried rice good but not much chicken. I think this place needs to take one of the many blank video/tv screens and display the menu or instructions or at least something useful. There was a very strange rap video playing which was just confusing and you couldn't hear any numbers being called. An idea would be to have the order #'s being completed available on screen so folks know what to do. Food was really good. Since living in SD i've known at least 4 different establishments in this location and none have made it. I hope this one is different as it could be something. Bottom line is this is very high quality food in a very low quality setting. I'm not sure what to think but in the end it's totally fine for take out."
