"Amazing food! In a small unassuming place, this jewel of both sushi and other Japanese/fusion cuisine is hidden away. It really could stand up easily next to any of the fanciest places you might come across in downtown, San Diego or up-and-down the coast. If you gave Chef Nghi Dao the money, staff and resources his place could easily be 10 times the size with a clientele that would be 10 times as happy as they would be at the next ‘high-end’ competitor. My girl and I were down there for a medical conference, and I finally had the opportunity to dine at Ju-Ichi. My only regret was that I eventually got full and couldn’t keep tasting more dishes! An excellent addition to Convoy District. It would be an excellent addition anywhere! I think if you have an open mind, an open pallet and the opportunity eat at this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!"
