Reviews of GM Auto Paint Supplies
"Love this place; you can find everything you need to get your project done. The staff is very friendly and polite."
"HANDS DOWN THE BEST PAINT STORE AROUND! Color matches ? ON POINT! regular colors, pearl whites, Tri coats. You name it. They'll get the job done. Unlike other stores, they dont charge extra for color matches. As a professional painter, ive gone to many stores for materials and paint. None can compare to this store. Prices are good, but most importantly they have the knowledge on the materials they provide. Most paint stores will try to sell you anything. This store, will know exactly what fits your needs. I could go on and on about how great this store is. But check them out for yourselves, you won t regret it."
"I wanted to paint a part of my car. It's a hard color to find. And it's apart of a recall because the manufacturers version sucks. So I found a version of it in OC at an oriellys. But I needed more. Was told to go to a paint shop. Huh. Yeah why I didn't think of that? Because I have never even give to one in my life, it just didn't occur auto paint stores exist. So I did some review research. Went to one in Culver City, $45/can. Couldn't tell me how their paint was better than the 12.99 can at the auto store. Nope. So... Went to GM Auto paint supply. Wow! 1. Very nice people work there. Offering tips and advice about how to do my project. Said come by anytime with questions. 2. Made my custom color in 5 minutes. 3. Wow only $25! They explained why it's better than the $12.99 version too. 4. It's the quality. The paint, the nozzle, the amount you get is more. 5. Parking easy. In the middle of a shopping strip. 6. Bi lingual Spanish and English speakers. Solid little store. When I tested this the auto store paint, it came out like a thin rounded edge line, too hard to overlap the lines. Great for painting zebra stripes on your whip. Not what I wanted. GM's paint went sprayed a bigger amount of coverage. 1" dot vs 3-4" vertical line from about 14" away. Clean edge start. The coverage was way superior. It covered the part easily, was easy to overlap, went on in a buttery smooth way. No sputtering. No dripping. It was unreal what a difference there was. I am glad I know better. Know you do too. 1 coat with still lots left. 1 coat covers it well 90%. Probably more if you have skillz. They can match any color exactly. The older man is a wizard with this. I am sure all the people there are great. Don't buy paint from the auto parts store. Get the goods from a auto paint store like GM. They also have spray kits, masks, plastic parts, clips, screws to put your car trim etc back in place. You know the ones that break all the time on its own or when you take apart your car? Lots of them. Sanding stuff. Machines. Prep. Etc. More stuff than I am not aware of what it is and probably should be using. I am going to return my auto store clear glossy finish today and get the good stuff here."
"Purchased Valspar paint. After 3 coats of metallic blue it didnt cover the blue sealer they suggested/sold me. This is the 2nd time this happens with them. They said the best they can do is send a paint tech in a week or two and see what happened . They have another shop in Wilmington that is also ripping people off. You pay for quality paint and they use lower quality toners and bidders Beware!!!"
"Great customer service , nice and professional job done ....I took my vehicle there and they helped out....10/10"
