"Another pokeworks location that just opened up. Usually I'm a little bit biased (and snobby heh) about poke that's not in Hawaii but I decided to give this place a try. For $15 it does the job and it's a decent amount of fish. They do load it up with a lot of rice but it's not as soft/fluffy like I'm usually used to. Get all the topics you want to match how much rice they'll give you lol. If you ask nice they might throw in some masago for free hehe thanks for that. spicy mayo (I think they call it Sriracha aioli lol): I rlly like this sauce and usually like to keep my poke pretty clean but I had my expectations low for any mainland poke. The tuna: It's decent but a little fishy The salmon: Pretty good and I'd get this again next time"

"This is a new location in Costa Mesa. It’s big and open. It wasn’t busy when I got there. You can choose a “make your own bowl” or pick one of their signature bowls. Unfortunately, when I got there around 6pm, they were out of lobster so I couldn’t try their new Luxe Lobster Bowl. It was a little disappointing. So, I chose Spicy Tuna and Shrimp. For the mix-ins: I would have liked more variety. I felt like there were too many fruit options. I also would have liked Eel sauce as an option for the sauces. I chose the Sriracha Aioli. Many of the toppings are an extra charge. My favorite toppings that are included were the seaweed salad, surimi salad, furikake, shredded nori, and garlic chips. I ordered to go. It was very tasty! Tasted fresh! It satisfied my Poke craving. For this Yelp event, I was given a reusable Yelp branded chopsticks and Pokeworks cup. So cool!! Plenty of parking. Edgar had good customer service."

"As part of my Yelp elite status, I was able to attend an event and try out Pokeworks in Costa Mesa. It is easily accessible off 19th street and Newport Blvd The facility is very clean and staff members are super friendly. I ordered the signature spicy ahi bowl but you are able to make customizations. I swapped white rice for brown rice, added extra crunchy things and medium sauce. I like Loys of toppings on mine so it’s nice to know you can add items. Prices are reasonable and serving size is quite generous. It didn’t have too much flavor, especially for spicy. Maybe I should have added jalapeno peppers. If you are close to a location, you should give it a try."

"Not sure how this place is during peak hours but we had our order taken immediately around dinner time. Unfortunately there's no yellowtail or ginger here, however, there is a sauce that has a ginger taste. They give you a lot of rice with the regular bowl. I felt like it was good value quantity and quality for the food. Try the Garlic Spam Musubi too if the poke bowl isn't enough to satiate you. The workers guide you through what to add on but the person who took my order forgot to ask me if I wanted any sauces. I only noticed because I saw the people behind me in line adding sauces to their bowls. Luckily adding the sauce in after the fact from a to go container is still good."
