"We had a last minute issue with our car as we were leaving for a road trip and they were able to get us checked out and back on the road within about 10 minutes."

"I chose this shop as it was the nearest location to where I stored a very atypical vehicle. I called ahead to ensure they were able to take on a simple smog check job, providing the vehicle specs and asked if there should be anything special needed or that I should be aware of. Their response was to bring it by anytime and that it would be not problem. After a full hour waiting to get checked in and after I repositioned the vehicle, they informed me they would be charging me $140 for a smog check. When I questioned why the amount was so high versus every other comparable shop they tried a scare tactic, stating that no one else would work on a vehicle such as this. In retrospect, I should have IMMEDIATELY left and never came back at this point as I was well aware nearly every shop with space would take it on, and I've smogged several vehicles. After further discussion and the fact that they already wasted my gas and time by me bringing it there (and not managing my expectations by informing me of their price gouging), I decided to proceed. They failed the smog check for a tube that could have been re-attached on site. I believe this was purposeful so that they could then force me to bring the vehicle back and charge an additional $60, since the tech inspected the engine prior to running the test. The total smog check ordeal here was $183 for a very well running and full emissions passing vehicle that should have taken a half hour. I need to also add that the young guy behind the counter waited until after I paid to then try to berate me in an incredibly disrespectful and dismissive way about how I was rude for simply asking them to justify their pricing compared to other shops. They clearly don't like it when they are called out as they try to take advantage of consumers forced into California's corrupt emissions process. When a shop can gouge like this they are entirely part of the problem. Avoid this shop at all costs due to these shady business practices and their inability to deal with informed customers who are direct in a courteous way. These people don't deserve to run their own business."

"Once great, "Casey" is long gone and has sadly sold to these new owners. As I soon discovered, every reputable smog shop in town knows about this outfit and to avoid them. I was flagged as a "gross polluter" which is a difficult situation to get out of once uploaded to Sacramento. Fortunately I went elsewhere rather than return for a retest, and passed no problem. Had they simply explained that I needed to reset my "drive cycles", which is a very simple process that every smog shop knows about, and perhaps warm the engine up, I would have passed the first time. I have since learned that there are shops that prefer you don't pass, so they can then charge for pricey repairs to do so. Buyer beware."

"This is one of the best Garages I've ever been to. Everyone at Casey's was so nice and very capable. I asked for some pretty hefty repairs and tune ups and they got it done very quick all while showing me everything they were doing step by step. They ran every part and repair by me first and showed me everything that would be done on my vehicle before doing it. I had to get to work and they loaned me a car free of charge. They took great care of my car and gave it back to me in much better condition than I left it. Another garage wanted to charge me almost triple what Casey's charged. Casey himself talked me through the repairs and broke down the pricing in person. These guys really knew what they were doing and were great in keeping me informed. They did a great job on the repairs. I am bringing my car to them for all of my auto repair needs."
