Reviews
"Loved the Madurai Fried Chicken! It was spicy, crisp, and deliciously cooked. The Mutton Biryani was also a thumbs-up. The staff was also very polite, inviting and, pleasing. The restaurant however, is not very spacious and the place can get crowded during the weekends. We had to wait for 20 mins before getting a table for three on a Friday. Overall, it's a great spot for South Indian dishes."
"So clean and tidy place. All utensils are so great. Food is so good. Service is very fast and they do their best. I love to go their again and again. Food quality is also very good. Wish they continue and quality. Ambience is the best."
"Great new addition to South Indian food options in East Bay area. Anjappar is as authentic as it can get in the USA. The wait times can be longer so plan ahead. This seems to be a smaller location compared to their other branch. Once seated though, food arrives at youd table fast enough. We had chicken lollipops which were tender and juicy. The Crab kotthu parotta was a pleasant surprise as we were expecting crab meat mixed in kotthu but we got whole fried crab sitting on top of the plate. That was fun. The Biryani they serve is not the Basmati Dum one but seeraga rice. The portion was huge and sufficient for two. Taste was on the milder spicy side but went well with the salan. Definitely will visit again as there are quite a few menu options we are yet to try."
"We been there with family on a birthday dinner. Quiet ambience, liked the interior designing. We ordered parottas and Briyani. Kizhi parotta expectation was more, they didnot disappoint with taste but felt could have been little more soaked on saalna. Nattu kozhi briyani was good. Also tried their sukku malli coffee, good for digestion and also great one during winter/rainy season. My kids liked Gobi Manchurian and was very crispy."
"This is the latest addition to the Anjappar Chettinad Cuisine chain. As longtime fans of Anjappar, we were pleased that this new location met our expectations. The fresh interiors and overall ambiance were delightful. For our meal, we opted for Chicken Lollipop and Chicken Schezwan, with the latter standing out. Moving on to the entrees, the chicken fried rice was exceptional—the chicken was perfectly cooked and tender. The Kizhi Parotta was okay after the fried rice experience. While the Schezwan noodles were good, we'd have preferred them a bit drier. Overall, they are maintaining their high standards. Absolutely recommend visiting this restaurant."
