Reviews of Tandoori Flames (The Indian Cuisine)
"I usually just go to naan n curry because their food is delicious and the prices are fair, they are not charging an arm & leg during tough times post Covid, while all these other restaurants are using this time to jack up prices. Anyway my bf wanted to go someplace where we get our food faster because we were hungry. We came to this place to try out. My instinct was not interested to try this place and I soon realized why. The restaurant from the outside is not inviting but it also isn’t the worst building I’ve seen. We walked in and there was absolutely no one in the restaurant including a host. A woman came out shortly after to say hi and say we can sit anywhere we want. She brought the menu and some water after 2 minutes. We ordered samosa, butter chicken, rice, and cheese naan. We wanted to try the paneer samosa but they were out of it. So we settled for the veg one which I give a 3/5, your standard samosa nothing special. The butter chicken definitely disappointing. The flavor was all off, tasted more like malai kofta curry. The spicy pepper they use was not mixed well into the curry so you would get the taste of Serrano pepper too, which is not how butter chicken is prepared. The menu read “pulled tandoori chicken” but it was cubes like tikka masala curry but a lot smaller. I give the butter chicken a 1/5. The rice was the only thing that was prepared good. Even the naan was made with a different cheese as it mentioned on the menu. The menu reads mozzarella and this naan had some orange cheese, perhaps cheddar or some blend. That was disappointing too. The texture of the naan was better than other places. Fresh and hot out the oven. I give the naan a 3/5, one star for not using the correct cheese and not disclosing to customer of the change. The server was polite and no issue there. The restaurant is not esthetically pleasing. Dirty doors, table setup is odd, and nothing is renovated. The bathroom is not too dirty but definitely needs TLC (a little better than naan n curry’s bathroom) Unfortunately I wouldn’t return because the food itself was mediocre esp the butter chicken (below average.)"
"Excellent, authentic northern Indian food! The exterior is unassuming but the inside of the restaurant is well setup with great service. The portions are large and we had enough leftovers for a second meal. Highly recommend the vegetarian samosa, pakora and bhindi masala."
"You can't mistake food made with love. It's a mix of homemade goodness and gourmet exquisiteness. And they are generous with both. The service was perfect, too: all the attention when you need it with time alone to enjoy and savor the deliciousness. The music videos playing were very entertaining. I don't know the language but could follow along with the body language. The only thing that would've made it better is dining with a friend. But I'm traveling. Looking forward to exploring the diverse menu more next I'm back in town."
"We went to this place not knowing how it was going to be, and it was amazing. One of the best Indian food places I’ve eaten. I love how they mix Indian culture with other cultures to create food. It was super clean and tidy. The servers and staff were great. But the most important thing, the food, Where do I even get started, there is a 10/10 buffet. But, also a 10/10 menu too. The deserts I would have to say 12/10. Great drinks. I felt as if we were guests instead of people just getting served food. I would highly recommend this place to every person."
"Food was AMAZING!! Service was A1 as well!! I got the Butter Chicken with rice -- would HIGHLY recommend this. And tried something new today the Mango Halwa dessert -- it was hella good! 11/10 would come back"
