"Food Maxx is Lucky's poor cousin. That means lower prices, concrete floors, and sometimes less selection. This particular Food Maxx was larger than my local. A LOT larger. So much fresh produce! Excellent selection, friendly staff, even nice customers. I'll definitely shop there again."

"Food price is great, but half of their self check cashiers are not working. The line in both self check and in-person cashier are long. Hope they can improve and manage the check out process better."

"Hello my name is Martin and today I had a BIG issue with one of your employee her name is Bianca I was paying at self check out when I noticed she was staring at me and my mother then she approached me and grab my toilet paper and tried to scan my items that’s when I told her that I’ll do it myself that I wasn’t gonna steal anything after that she let another employee to keep an eye on us then that other employee yelled at me telling me that my toilet paper didn’t scan when I actually scanned it that’s when my mother felt uncomfortable and told Bianca to stop harassing us ..that’s when I spoke to hector the manager at parkmoor store in San Jose .. then Bianca left shouting keep stealing the food .. is really unprofessional for Bianca to talk to foodmax customers and watching us to see if we were gonna steal something we paid for everything and this is not the first time she does this there’ was another lady when she approached us and told us that the lady chase her out the door asking her for her recipt please take this into consideration with Bianca’s behavior and very disrespectful no one should go thru that .. thank you"

"I had a bad experience the other day at self checkout. I scanned an meat item and it showed on the screen that it was scanned however a few seconds later, the lady working at self checkout said the item wasn't scanned and looked like she was messing around with the system. I know I scanned the item. I continued to scan more items and the system was freezing and then came up to me pointing at my cart saying it's because I had more than 20 items but there was no sign that day that the maximum was 20 or less for self checkout. I may have had like 22 stuff. Other customers had more than 20 items who were ahead of me and didn't seem to have an issue. If I have to come here again, I'll make sure to avoid her if possible."

"Truly horrible customer service. Some of the worst trained and most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. Saving a few dollars isn't worth being treated like cattle instead of customers. It's impossible to find anything in this store. They rearranged all the products into new aisles, but never updated the signs telling you what item is in what aisle. When you ask for help from the staff, they tell you that they don't even know where anything is. Many items have empty price signs, so there is no way to find out the price of an item. Look at the pictures, there are places for the staff to put the prices, but nobody does it. Just a horrible customer experience in every single way possible."
