"Wanted to try this hu tieu place for awhile. Some serve it usually too saucy and salty so this was simpler so I can add more sauce to my taste. I like clear noodle and the soup on the side. The textures were nice, they heated the bean sprouts so it did not make the other food cold. It came with pork, shrimp, quail eggs and squid. It also came with tea. Service was nice and efficient."
"This is located in the food court. This you tieu is one of the best in this city. I go out of my way to come here to eat, even though it’s a food court. They have the best hu tieu! One issue is I don’t think they always charge me correctly for what order. I have been overcharged. However it is the best in the city. I always order the special „dai“ (chewy glassy noodle, dac biet meaning „special“ dry. The soup is on the side and has pork bone in it. That flavors is 5 star but their practices are not too honest… Still delish. Went again. I order the dry version. The “glass” noodle is coated with lovely dark sauce and soup with bone on the side."
"They have special promotion going on. I paid only $11 without tax for this dish. So yummy!"
"I was still hungry after eating #12 Mi Kho (shrimp pork dry egg noodles) $15.25. It was an enjoyable meal. Phi Hu Tieu Nam Vang is located inside of Lion Plaza's indoor food court. Wow this plaza has turned into a ghost town compared to the other San Jose Vietnamese plaza on Story Road. That other plaza recovered well after Covid. Back in the early 2000's, you can't find a place to park, let alone find a seat in the food court. We used to come here with our Vietnamese friends to buy bootleg CD's and grab food/sugarcane drinks. Phi's does dry noodles well with bone soup on the side. They have a spices station with fresh cut garlic, whole chilies and sauces. This is fantastic! My noodles came out within five minutes and I was ready to eat. There were too many pieces of pork liver. Some people like it, but I don't. The egg noodles had good texture and I enjoyed it. Too bad there weren't enough of it. I liked dipping the meats into the sauce I made. My bone piece had meat on it and that tasted great too. I was looking for a soft spot to see if there was bone morrow, but no. If you are in Lion Plaza already, this is a good spot for dry noodles. Good job chef and counter girl at Phi's."
"It is quite good but the taste will not be perfect as in Vietnam. Enough ingredients, big size with Vietnamese."
