"I'm given then just 3 stars due to they only accept cash. Who in this world doesn't accept credit cards or wireless payments (e. g. GooglePay, SamsungPay, ApplePay? I won't recommend this place until they optimize their business to the latest technology to accept payments. On the other hand, their service was friendly , and their Beef Noodles soups tasted really good. (I never see the Tendon they are supposed to add to my Beef Noodles soup). *I'll keep an eye next time, and will I update this review about the Tendon they should have added. Thank you."

"My family has been going to Pho 54 for years! We have tried many other pho restaurants throughout SJ but always return to 54. The pho broth is consistently on point and the meat portions are huge even for a “small” bowl. Do not be intimated by the location or appearance as it is pretty old school but that’s what makes it so special."

"I started to love this place even before I tasted my delicious Fried Pork w/ Rice. From the moment I walked in, I could smell something good cooking. I was invited to sit down, I almost changed my mind on take out. Because I felt like I was being invited to eat by a friend's grandparents. While sitting & waiting for my food, which came out quicker than expected, I was given a cup of tasty iced tea & the older gentleman kindly reminded me to hydrate, since I was on a bike. Then I tasted the food. It was so tasty! The pork has a perfect amount of char on it. With a tender juicy meatiness. I wish I could just order a pound of this perfect pork with quintessential rice."

"Don’t be fooled by the appearance or location. The food is so good, and the people are so nice. Huge portions, great prices, and easily the best grilled pork I’ve had in San Jose."

"The large pho bowl is really BIG! Broth was a little light but clean tasting. Tons of meat and veggies. Hủ tiếu was also very tasty with lots of meat. Service was very friendly and hot tea is complimentary."
