"As tourists in the Bay area, we loved Dizi Sangi so much that we visited this restaurant not only once, but twice! Their Dizi Sangi is perfect on a cold day or if you're looking for a delicious, hearty, healthy and filling meal. A mix of meat, chickpeas, and potatoes with plenty of broth that you pour out to mix with naan on the size, this is one of the staple Persian stews of which I can never from. Dizi Sangi did a fantastic job at getting the right dishes to serve this stew, because Dizi needs to be served with one bowl for the broth and one urn-type stone bowl for the meat, potatoes and the peas. They also provided the right type of masher spoon with which to mash and mix the potatoes and chickpeas, as well as massive tongs with which to pour out the broth from the stone bowl into the other bowl (because it can be really hot!). We also tried their Jajrood chicken kebab with rice which was hearty, delicious and very filling -- almost enough for two people. I found the service to be fast and friendly. Our server served us with hot naan and a bowl of sabzi with onions as soon as we were seated. The restaurant has lots of Persian-styled decor (I loved the painting and style on their front door) with plenty of seating space inside, although I was disappointed that they were playing English music instead of Persian/Farsi songs. One thing to note is that their bathroom is located outside the restaurant, although it is only a couple of steps away."
"Really great place to get some Persian food. The meat was juicy and the rice had the perfect texture. Place feels like a diner inside and very casual if your just looking for a really lowkey place. You pay at the counter. Also the menu is super big and I can’t wait to try it all. Also conveniently located downtown not that far from the light rail station. lol"
"Authentic Persian restaurant. The kobideh were delicious and juicy. A must try place if you’re craving for Persian food in the Bay Area."
"I would definitely recommend this place. One of the best Persian foods I have had in California. Large portions. We had Torghabeh Special Dish . It’s for two but we could only finish half of it. On my second visit today we ordered: Vakil Abad-Mashad Stone Stew which was Fantastic. As good and authentic that one can ever imagine! Mashad Shishlik Kabob with rice was also great. Definitely recommend this place"
