Ike's Love & Sandwiches

"We were told about Ike's but never had a chance to have a sandwich from here till the day we flew out of SJC. The first time, we really liked it. Liked the menu naming scheme, lots of veggie options as well as the location of this shop. Finding a parking spot is a bit of a bother though. Google maps doesn't navigate you to a parking spot instead it routes you to the entry of the building in which Ike's is there on Skyport drive. If you can get a parking spot on that street, you can do so for 2 hours if I'm not wrong. The other parking spot is a lot on the inside which we didn't know about. We were pretty surprised about the amount of food we got. A sandwich half was enough for a meal. So we ate our entire sandwich over 2 sittings. I didn't take a picture of our sandwiches unfortunately since we had it on the plane. But from the menu, we had #9 and #265"

"I am an Ike's fan and was so excited to take a friend to this place to try their amazing sandwiches. This is so close to airport!! And all my excitement was killed when I actually ate their sandwich. Ike's "Sometimes I'm a vegetarian" is my favorite sandwich and I always get the same. I asked for a gluten free bread though and no pesto. My sandwich has almost no filling! And I know how it should taste like because i have gotten the same sandwich almost over 10 times. I could clearly see and taste it was badly made. My suspicion was confirmed when i compared to my friend's sandwich who got the same sandwich! See the difference for yourself in the picture. I do not expect to get this for almost 14$!"

"Stopped there after arriving at SJC airport because they had good reviews and we’d been to the downtown one before, and my husband is vegetarian. Ordered the Peewee sandwich, which was supposed to have vegan Turkey, Swiss cheese, avocado, and other regular sandwich stuff. Well, the sandwich did not have the vegan turkey or the Swiss cheese, it had avocado and some lettuce, mayonnaise, maybe that purple cabbage. But no vegan Turkey. And no cheese. We were in a hurry and didn’t have time to go back, but we won’t be going there again."

"First time visiting as recommended by a friend. I ordered the chicken, Jack cheese and sauce, then added tomatoes, pickles, peppers and jalapenos. The sandwich was good, but I was disappointed to receive a "McChicken like" meat vs an actual crispy fried chicken sandwich. Although the menu didn't really state that, still I felt misled. Anyway, all was good until I saw a worker prepping sandwiches with his beard not covered. He also had long hair that was tied into a ponytail but without a hat. I was curious to know if there's a health code violation here or whether management does not enforce health code rules. Made me wonder about my choice of sandwich place today."
