Reviews of Chandni Chowk
"Enough space for large crowds. 5 flavours to pick from in pani puri which is nice. I felt chat options are less."
"I've visited Chandi Chowk Food Truck thrice now, and it's been a journey of hits and misses. The highlight for me has consistently been their Pani Puri. A generous serving of 8 pieces allows for a full exploration of their 5 distinct flavors, with enough left over to revisit your favorites. The "khatta meetha" flavor, in particular, is a standout, striking the perfect balance between tangy and sweet. Their chai also deserves a mention - it's pretty good and makes for a comforting sip, especially on a chilly day. However, my latest experience with their Samosa Chaat was disappointing. The samosas tasted stale, and one was so hard it almost led to a dental disaster. When I brought this up to the cashier, my concerns were unfortunately overlooked. This brings me to the aspect of customer service, which I feel is a significant area for improvement at Chandi Chowk. Despite this experience, the allure of their Pani Puri might bring me back. It's a dish they've truly mastered, with flavors that keep you wanting more. Just a heads-up if you're planning a winter visit - the truck can get crowded, and it tends to be cold, so dressing warmly is advisable. In terms of ambiance, the food truck is quite innovative with its space, creating a cool vibe that adds to the street food experience."
"Always on list to taste their kullad Chai & Amritsari Kulche Chole. Finally had a chance to eat here on Friday afternoon. Ordered Amritsari Kulcha Chole but looks like they had only 1 person on that day to prepare & serve the food. As I wasn't in hurry, so waited patiently for my to-go. Wait was worth. The chole itself were very delicious and had that typical aroma. Kulche also were soft & big enough to accompany chole. Overall satisfied with taste, quantity & quality of food. Service has to improve a little."
"Came to Chandni Chowk on a Saturday evening following some recommendation on Instagram. I’m glad I did not drive all the way just for this, met up with a friend so that made up for the drive. The food is pricey and I did not find it as unique as described in many Instagram blogs. The matka chai was the worst purchase, the flavor of the chai was alright but you could feel the matka taste, and maybe my specific matka was not baked all the way so I could feel the clay. The pani puri was more or less same as anywhere else but they are pricier though they give 8 it’s better to split between two. The dahi papdi chat was the best of the three items we had and was a little bit on the sweeter side. Service was great we were with a toddler and the gentleman at the pani puri counter entertained her with some dry puris, kudos on that. Ambiance was indeed great, am sure it gets better as the sun goes down. Music was punchy and ample space to stand around. Parking is a bit tough as you have to park across the street in the lot shared with Apna Bazaar and that’s always busy."
"The concept of selling Indian street food in a place like this is pretty cool. But the taste of the street food is just ok. Nothing special. The atmosphere can be a little crowded based on the time of the day when you visit this stall. Overall, Chandni Chowk is probably worth one visit. But don't expect too much from the food."
