"Merit was a great place as a full vegan restaurant. If you have any friends with those dietary restrictions, do not hesitate to take them here. Heck, even if they don't have the dietary restrictions, take them here anyways. It's great food at great prices. The establishment itself is not as maintained but the place definitely has its charm. The portions are filling, though you must buy the rice separately, they do give you a well above average portion."
"Haven't tried many vegan places around the bay but i feel like this is still a top tier option ☺️ ordered family style with a few friends and we didn't have a single bad dish. Favorites were the spicy tango and firecracker. The fried rice and clay pot were a tad greasy but still had great flavor. I just wish they were open a little later!"
"We started with the Thai Iced Tea (not overly sweet) and Vietnamese Iced Coffee (strong coffee flavour) both very good. Then for the appetizers we tried the veggie fresh spring rolls - dipping sauce was so good. We also tried the jalapeño poppers, and they were not spicy at all and super flavorful. For the entrees - we tried the Thai fried rice and SP-15, which made for an excellent combination. Though it’s a purely vegan restaurant, we didn’t miss meat at all and would definitely try this restaurant again."
"Weekday Lunch. Place gets busy real quick. Food was decent/good. Flavorful. But not amazing. Extensive menu. We got the Spicy Tango, Thai Fried rice , Eggplant Tofu pot, fresh spring rolls, house special rice clay pot. The Special Sp15 Spicy Tango is a must order if you're not gluten free. One of their best dishes. Thai fried rice was really good. Has the right amount of Wok Hay. Spring rolls were okay- have eaten better -peanut dipping sauce was a little too runny for my liking. House special rice clay pot had fried rice(average) topped with vermicelli noodles - overall an average dish. TLDR: get the fried rice and Spicy Tango. Everything else that we tried was average."
