"One of the best fried chicken in a long time. It looks dry but there's a lot of juice and flavor once you get into it. If it was delivered I don't think it would taste as good. The fried cod was good but not great because it wasn't juicy or buttery soft. The cornbread sides were yummy. The Mac and cheese was cheeeeesy and thick and medium spicy. Collard greens were normal. Green beans were sweet and yummy. Fries were normal fries. I asked for tap water since I didn't want a drink and the server looked surprised (and partly disgusted because I wanted faucet water?) and asked if I wanted bottled water instead. I said sure so we could end the conversation and didn't see the charge on the final receipt. I wasn't sure if the server forgot to add it or bottled water is free. Overall not a complaint but if you want to avoid drink confusion, either don't order water or bring your own lol"

"It is a little quaint place with delicious food. We had the fried catfish, rice w/ gravy and fried cabbage. The fish was made to order, so it came out perfect. The meal was so good we had to try the dessert.... to be continued!!!"

"Oh…my…goodness! Stop what you’re doing and do yourself a favor and have dinner here! The food is made to order fresh and QUICK!not to mention how authentic and good it taste! We expected it would take a while because it was homemade but no. They give you big portions and they are the sweetest loveliest ladies! We drove all the way from the Stockton area and we don’t regret it! We will definitely be back and send all of our friends and any one who will listen! Thank you so much for the A+ experience!"

"Came from Kansas City Missouri to eat here, the owner is definitely a gift to everyone. Personality, kindness , patience and just beautiful! Now the food!!!! My husband had the fish and I couldn't stop eating it! Cooked to perfection! I had the chicken wings and they were excellent! Favor, cooked perfectly! Now the banana pudding cake...you'll never find this taste any were else in the world. If you're in the area you deserve to treat yourself or you are missing out."
