"Love this nice Italian restroom. We have been coming here last eight years for hai birthday luncheon. My friend loves this place because only can get eggplant Parmesan. He has been ordering the same dish eight years. This time we ordered table dishes, crispy polenta fries, calamari Fritts, Dungeness crab and avocados, pretty good. Except Dungeness crab was only a few pieces of crab even during high season for the price but very good taste. Seafood fettuccine was pretty good but a little soupy this time. Linguini w fresh clams pretty good, clams are really fresh. And three people had rigatoni bolognese. The bolognese was prepared perfectly. Overall, food very good. We brought a bottle of nice wine and restaurant charge cork fee of $35, reasonable price. Overall, food was good and service was excellent. I would recommend this place for birthday or special occasions."
"We love it there, so yummy. I do think it’s strange that the calamari is served with marinara sauce, it’s also a little bland. The Brussels, ravioli and salmon were perfection. Overall it is a bit pricey so keep that in mind when planning."
"Paradiso in San Leandro was hopping for dinner Friday night! It seems a prime destination for holiday dinners with friends, and we were doing the same. We shared starters, of which my favorite was probably the fried calamari because the accompanying marinara sauce was so good—I actually preferred it over the creamy option, which is rare indeed. Nicely roasted brussel sprouts, too. My eclipse cocktail, with tequila and mezcal and lots of bitters, was a vibrant start to the meal. The fettuccine burst with seafood: scallops, shrimp (both large and tiny), crab, lobster meat, and I'm sure I'm missing something. Very rich, creamy sauce and perfectly cooked noodles. Everyone enjoyed their desserts, and I enjoyed sinking my hazelnut gelato with espresso for an affogato. It's a special treat to go out to Paradiso, and worth it."
"Simply delicious. Walked in for lunch right when it opened and got a table for two. Attentive service and had some amaaazing pasta (rigatoni bolognese) and calamari. Pricey but worth it for a solidly nice lunch. Started with the simple greens salad which was perfectly dressed (not too heavy, not too light, nice). Then calamari, then pasta. Ended with one scoop (honestly a big single scoop bless up) of the ginger pear sorbet which was light, refreshing, and uniquely flavored. Would definitely come back and demolish another one of everything. Plus would like to try the lemonade it looked amazing."
"Had family over who will be moving overseas. This was our last dinner before their departure and it was great! Service was a little slow at times but considering how busy they were and the fact that it was Friday night I have no complaints. We had a 5pm reservation and by 630 we were all done with our entrees and ready for dessert. I haven't been here for years and I'm not sure why. Everything was delicious. My brother in law said this was one of the best steaks he's ever had (and he's had plenty-all last week he had nothing but steak). A little sidenote for those worried about feeding the meter for street parking if you come on a weekend, parking is free from 6p-9p. Thanks for a memorable dinner. We'll definitely be back!"
