"Please read before you go. Beware of your quote. My son took his car for a catalytic converter and the part was priced at almost $2000. Service person saw he made a mistake and the price was $600 less, still not a good price. A catalytic converter for his truck at auto stores are about $250 not $1400. Be sure to research before going to Midas in Simi Valley. There are plenty of mom and pop mechanics around. Support small business owners."
"I've been taking my car here for years. Never again. I brought my car in for an oil change and to have a noise looked at. My car is an early 2000's vehicle and just this year alone, I have spent thousands on repairs. I have taken my car to this specific location every single time. Shortly after dropping my vehicle off, the owner called to state what I needed repaired and quoted me an amount. My husband was shocked and decided we should call Auto zone and ask for the part cost over the phone. Just to give anyone reading the specifics. The owner quoted me $600 for a refurbished part and $800 for a new part. Those amounts did not include labor. Auto zone sells this exact part new for $182. It's literally 4 weeks before Christmas and I still can't believe the owner of this establishment was going to take advantage of me. Especially since I have already spent a significant amount of money there. I understand everyone is trying to make it out there, but in no way will I have this location fix my car ever again. You lost a customer due to greed!"
"I came only for an oil change as I enjoyed my experience with MIDAS in Long Beach and wanted to get the same quality of service after my move. I found this MIDAS store near my new place and decided to give it a try. Every time I go they always find things wrong with my vehicle which I appreciate, but the manager’s tone always changes the moment I politely decline repairs and ask if they can just do the oil change and the complimentary tire rotation. He then becomes condescending with me, and most of the time, I ignore it, but after today, I cannot. If I could give this MIDAS 0 stars after today I would. My partner went to this MIDAS to get an oil change and the manager also found issues wrong with his car which my partner was aware of. My partner politely declined for them to repair the problems as he already has an appt with his mechanic (who is my partner’s father) in January to fix the problems, and was then treated disrespectfully by the manager. The manager called him a “transient” and asked him “why can’t your dad just take care of your mechanical issues”. My partner maintained his composure and explained that his father lives in Northern California. The manager then refused to acknowledge my partner’s coupon for the oil change and refused to rotate their tires."
"Customer service is important to me. I called Midas to get a little info about what could be going on with my car. I knew that the information I received was going to be a bit vague because they would need my car to be present to know for sure which I could not make happen at the time. Jeff was kind at first and seemed cool but then I called back to double check to be sure I got the information correctly after calling another business. This is when Jeff snapped on me and became a bit condescending in his tone. I don't know anything about cars which is why I try my best to get as much info as I can. This caused me to go in a different direction. I am a kind and understanding person who practices awareness in how I communicate with others and when it comes to customer service, if I'm not giving a snippy tone to you then why is that tone thrown at me. Unacceptable. I'm sure he does well at his job but to be rude was uncalled for."
"I had to get my front right passenger side cv axle replaced. I was greeted by Jeff and was late to the appointment so I apologize again for that. He took care of the issue and gave me a reasonable price and also gave me a discount which I appreciate. George finished the job within the hour and was finished faster then expected. I also asked a lot of questions and George was very patient in answering all of them. I thank you guys once again for the fast and professional service."
