"First time here, and I can say I had a great experience. For those who have never been here, you pay first and then they bring you your food. The decor is pretty neat and it’s definitely different. Very colorful and nice, definitely pleasing to the eye. I ordered some crab fried rice and honey walnut prawns. The crab fried rice was good, but I didn’t really taste much crab meat. The honey walnut prawns were fried a little bit too hard, so they were extra crunchy and borderline rubbery. But I’m willing to give it another go and try it at another time because the staff was really awesome and everyone else in my party enjoyed their food. I recommend."

"This Monkey King is the third branch of a family owned business, the other two are in Alameda. I've been doing to the locations for a while and highly recommend them for their wings, garlic noodles and various Asian entrees. This location has a full bar. I haven't dined in there before since they opened in the middle of COVID, but they now have a dining area. I've mainly ordered takeout from them and they haven't disappointed."

"Good wings. Nice options. Odd vibe. Like a half abandoned sushi restaurant that got turned into this new place by throwing up some tvs to distract you from it. Staff always seems friendly but a little off. Hard to explain. Just an odd vibe. Fountain sodas would be nicer than cans. Took a star off for the rice, though. It was super old, with dried out crunchy bits. Not at all fresh or properly prepared. The noodles and wings were good."

"Great place for lunch or dinner. Nice and spacious with great service. The drinks are tasty (alcoholic) so I recommend definitely! FOOD IS BOOMB!! Good place to chill for a meeting or catch up with friends. Nice atmosphere for maybe even a sweet first date."

"On the menu it says “Lil’ Man Shrimp & Rice - Hawaiian shrimp truck influenced, shrimp wok tossed in house garlic and butter” What they gave us is deep fried shrimp with spicy peppers and garlic. This is false advertising. Kimchi fried rice was good and big enough for two to share, fortunately, since this is likely going in the trash. Very disappointed at their blatantly incorrect menu. UPDATE: I went ahead and complained to the manager and she was gracious about it and offered to refund the meal and she mentioned she would speak with the owners about changing the online menu to reflect the actual dish they prepare. Increased my rating 2 stars for good customer service"
