Marufuku Ramen

"Got the spicy tan tan ramen. Came packaged with the broth, noodles, and toppings all separated and spill free. I ordered from a delivery service because the reviews mentioned a long wait/cramped seating - tasted fresh and came hot. The egg was perfectly cooked and jammy, noodles had a good bite to them, broth was rich and creamy (not really spicy imo, although it came with a spice powder and I used all of it still wasn’t as spicy as I hoped but very flavorful) took one star off for the chicken. It was ground too fine and I barely ended up tasting it in the ramen. It gave a very gritty and chalky texture which I didn’t like. If the chicken wasn’t ground up to dust / came as a couple of small pieces the ramen may have been more enjoyable. Still good though, Id probably get a different one next time. Edit- ordered again, got Karaage & hakata tonkotsu. The karaage was yum, loved it. Hakata tonkotsu was so tasteless and disappointing. It came with spice powder but that didn’t really help much either because the broth was so flavorless. It was so highly rated I wanted to try it but I’d give that dish alone no more than 2/5"

"Ordered vegetable Ramen - Ultra Spicy. When the server put down my bowl, it spilled(it’s OK, accidents happen) but the server did NOT say sorry - just walked away - disappointing. The broth which was supposed to be ultra spicy was bland, no salt and spices- Forget about ulta spicy. Extremely disappointing. Been to Marfuku many times over the year and yesterday was the first time they service and FOOD - both were not up to par."

"Definitely make reservations unless you really like to wait. Food is excellent. The DX is the way to go for the Ramen: full of flavor and you’ll leave full. Service was prompt, efficient and polite."

"One of my go to spots for Ramen! The broth is so delicious. I order the Hakata Tonkotsu DX ramen. Perfect for a chilly day and great meal with friends. Only negative is that seating is close quarters inside. I’ve also ordered delivery from a food service and I don’t recommend that. It just wasn’t the same as having hot fresh ramen in the restaurant."

"Chicken Paitan is very delicious. I had the deluxe set with the sizzling chicken leg, which made for a good picture. Despite the scarcity they advertise (“only 15 served a day!”), I wouldn’t order it again. With that said, I’d like to reiterate that the paitan on its own was great and worth coming for. Staff is friendly and efficient. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful."
