Reviews of Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine
"Tried the Pad see you with chicken, and it totally hit the spot. Came with chili oil with crispy garlic flakes that I loved. Yellow curry with chicken was also good although the noodles stole the show for me! Nice big portions"
"So I've had this place before a while back through a food delivery app during Covid and it was bomb. I remember the Hat Yai fried chicken with curry and rice and also the Penang short rib. Unfortunately this review isn't for that. Came here last night for a birthday dinner with 11 people total. We all decided to get the coming home family style for everyone, 17 drinks and dessert sampler. The service here is incredible and as annoying as big groups can be the servers and bussers we're all hospitable, quick and friendly. The drinks are fantastic, I had a Gold Fashioned, their twist on a classic that came with a ferrero rocher and actual gold leaf. The rest of the group got tasty ones like a pandan and guava one. They are very showy with presentation here. The appetizer sampler was yummy and we got to basically a tasting menu of 6 dishes. All were good except one in my opinion, the deep fried rice. The oyster caviar, tuna, shrimp, scallop and beef roll were all tasty and provided a good mix of heat, flavor, contrast, texture and harmony to start. The main entrees were disappointing and it would have been better to get options to choose therefore I didn't see value after processing dinner. We got 3 different types of rice, veggies for making spring rolls with a super hot fermented fish sauce I think, a fried pork belly dish, an oxtail curry and lobster. The oxtail and fried pork belly were my favorites and the lobster was a bit of a let down because it was difficult and messy to eat plus it felt overcooked which is easy to do. That dish should be made with shrimp or squid instead or again have the option to sub out. I was pretty full by the time dessert rolled around but it looked pretty good. They sang happy birthday and I can't say enough about the great service. The venue is clean and the atmosphere is fun like a party. Everything came out to $1756 for 11 or 159pp. Overall I still enjoyed this place and am happy they are here. Drinks are pricy, food is good, great for date or group but stick to a la carte! I'll definitely be back for a redemption, most of the food is just too good."
"It's very good, however it's also very expensive. The atmosphere is okay. It's a little bit cramped given the amount of people that are trying to get in. We came here during lunch hour and required no reservation. I don't think it's worth the very expensive price tag of food, but the service was very good."
"The fried chicken was insanely greasy. I know it was fried…but I pressed down on it and oil was coming out. Like more then normal. I get fried chicken from proper places and it’s not that’s greasy. Food was kind of cold. Appetizers were good but served on the colder side same as the soup that I got for the lunch special. It’s a personal preference but I don’t like the decor. It feels old and dated. Most places I’ve been too in Thailand don’t really look like that. Service wasn’t great for it being not that busy. The food is a bit sub par for what they charge. I honestly wouldn’t pay for that again. I would like to try the Instagram foods they have but was pretty it off by this experience so not sure if I’ll come again. Maybe the LA location is better."
"It was my second time visiting this place. My friends and I went there for dinner, and we got an outdoor seat right away. We ordered fish cakes, pineapple fried rice, oxtail curry, and pad see you with chicken. They were all pretty good, but the oxtail curry sauce was a bit too thick and salty. The service was okay as the first waitress didn’t take our order, and we waited for the next one and she was very nice. Overall, the restaurant is still a place worth visiting."
