Reviews of Taquería El Farolito
"Despite a slight discrepancy in pricing compared to the menu, the quality and flavor of the food more than made up for it. We ordered two super burritos, which totaled around $26 instead of the expected $18.50 according to the menu. The burritos were generously filled with flavorful ingredients, including rice, beans, fresh tomato, onion, cilantro, and salsa. We opted for the lengua (beef tongue) and triipas (intestine), and both were cooked to perfection, tender and savory. The portion sizes were ample, ensuring we left feeling satisfied. One thing to note is that El Farolito only accepts cash, so be sure to come prepared."
"Best nachos I’ve ever had BY FAR. I cannot explain how good they were. This is the typical local spot that will have the most authentic Mexican dishes in the area. 100% recommended. It’s cash only by the way, so prepare ahead."
"Best Mexican food I’ve ever had, the burrito is particularly incredible. So Flavorful and the al pastor pork style makes the difference. Would come everyday if I was living in SF And the cheapest burrito I’ve encountered in the district ! > patio at the back of the restaurant to eat"
"Just tooling around the Mission with Oscar tolittle Mendoza in his 64 and we found a couple of Pygmy goat ranchers from the Republic of Congo that were lost, cold and hungry, they wanted to have some real authentic Mexican food, after they were done checking out the hydraulics of the Impala we pointed to the Taqueria El Farolito Restaurant, it was right across the street. What a great restaurant, the food is amazing! It was just like eating at grandma's house on a Sunday, only just a little bit better. 5 stars for Taqueria El Farolito! ☆☆☆☆☆"
"While I was in San Francisco, I visited Taquería El Farolito. This place is just across the street from 24th St Mission BART Station. One of the first things that I noticed when I got there was the line. This place usually has quite a line up waiting to order, which is a good sign to me! I ordered a Super Burrito, which comes with rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, cheese, avocado, and any meat you choose. I decided to go for a Super Burrito with Carne Asada. Carne Asada refers to Steak at this place. This was one really great burrito! One of the highlights is the steak. The steak was not dry, nicely cooked, soft, tender, and well seasoned. This was definitely one of the key items that made the burrito really great. Also, the sour cream was nice and flavourful, but not too thick and not too strong, which I also liked. The rice was also really good. The burrito was filled with ingredients, and the combination of all of the ingredients made the burrito quite flavourful. Surprisingly, it wasn’t very sloppy either. I really enjoyed this burrito!"
