"I had my birthday dinner here and we used the event format of family style dining with a prefix menu of my choice, and it was soo incredible! They really went above and beyond to make us happy, full, and well taken care of. The manager was so kind and constantly checked in with me, and they gave me a glass of wine on the house as soon as I walked in. We had a party of ten people and the food was spectacular. I was a little worried that family style ($58 per person or so) was not going to be enough food to go around but we were absolutely stuffed - there was no shortage of food and we got to box up all the leftovers! I’ll be eating for a week! The service was prompt and the servers were all really kind and sweet. I truly loved celebrating my birthday here, and cannot recommend it enough!"

"Very nice and spacious Italian place on Filmore. Happy that I had a chance to try it at last. We decided to make a reservation for as we planned to come at 7pm, party of 4 people. That was a good idea because the place gets packed at that time. We ordered Agnolotti del plin, Fungi risotto and vegetarian risotto along with some wines. Everything we tried was delicious. Agnolotti were cooked al dente and had flavorful filling, Fungi risotto was creamy and with generous amount of mushrooms. At some point the place got pretty noisy due to several big parties around but overall we liked the ambiance of this place and probably will come back again."

"Happy with the customer service! We were seated outside and I was a bit worried that they would ignore us but service was quick. We got the spaghetti nero, risotto with osso buco and burrata with tomatoes (forgot the name on the menu). They were all good individually, though I wouldn’t recommend getting carbs with carbs. The saffron taste was prominent on the risotto, spaghetti was not too spicy which I liked, and the creaminess of the burrata was perfect with the sweetness of the tomatoes. Will come back!"

"The coziest girls’ night out at The Tailor’s Son. The staff was so kind, we got a little bar table in the window nook, and the drinks and food were all amazing. Special shout out to the Sformato (pictured spinach soufflé-type appetizer), the Germano cocktail (if you like citrusy and fresh), and the spaghetti Nero (if you like spicy and umami), but everything was delicious."

"Came in early for happy hour at 5pm. Place was totally empty and we sat at the bar. Service was quick. We ordered the house Rose and white wine. They came from a tap and were quite good. We also ordered the deviled eggs and a salami pizza. The eggs were pretty good, I enjoyed the capers in them. The pizza was cracker thin which I loved! We then ordered the tortellini dish (can’t remember the name - it has pork and veal) which had a tasty cream sauce. I asked for some bread to soak up the last of the sauce and the bartender offered to put in an order of focaccia. I wasn’t expecting it to be so good! It was hot and fresh and went amazingly with the sauce. Great happy hour meal!"
