"Careful, if you find the meat texture and taste is not the same, you could end up within an hour in the bathroom all night! I had nothing else to eat for 48 hours before Ono. Also, someone please tell these Ono folks that the plastic edges of the food containers can pierce the flimsy plastic bag carrying containers of food."
"The now go to place as the Serramonte hawaiian food place shut down. This one has a good selection of food and the quantity of each order can easily be saved for left overs or shared. There is an open sauce bar and the general vibe is eat quick and leave. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but not a real sit and chat beyond eating kind of vibe in the place."
"Teriyaki chicken is tender and delicious. Whitefish is tasty but puny. I was told this so no surprise. Ordered it a second time thinking the first time was a fluke but the second time was even smaller. Still tasty though. Everything here tastes great. Way better than their main competitor that doesn't trim the fat and gristle off of their food."
"I saw the Ono Hawaiian BBQ while I was on my way to see my old pal Fathead Marley, he's in Colma now after living the past 30 years down the street from me. I told him before he moved I'd share a bottle of Makers Mark with him each year on the day he moved, and after I left the half empty bottle on Fatheads grave I headed to Ono Hawaiian BBQ for some Hawaiian BBQ chicken. It was spectacular!"
"I was in the area and thought I would give it a try since I really miss Hawaii. I believe it's a chain restaurant because I think I visited one in Fresno last year. Anyways, the chicken and mac salad were pretty good. The beef short rib and teriyaki beef were little tough. Teriyaki sauce is excellent."
