Reviews
"We were sorely disappointed. The char siew buns were cold inside (I could heat up tastier buns than they did), the shrimp rice noodle came with only enough shrimp to fill up half the rice noodles. The other half were empty. No sauce. The clay pot rice was the only thing that’s ok. We are shocked that this place is rated so well, when they don’t meet the basic standards of a restaurant (heated food?)"
"Great dim sum place in SF. Parking here is easier than SF Chinatown. Service is better than expectation"
"The Hong Kong style congee we love, and we ask for roasted peanuts with order of Chinese doughnuts. Good dimsums. Overall very affordable: $21 for two before tips for an eggroll order to share, a beef congee, and a coconut soup with oolong tea on the house. Not cash-only and yet. One of the few breakfast places open mornings (8am open). We live locally so breakfast on Irving "
"It's a 3.5 for me! The employees were very friendly and welcoming but most of the food I tried was just okay. Don't know if it was just an off day when I came in but I would avoid the dim sum. SHRIMP RICE NOODLE Thin skin, nice texture, and yummy! At first glance, it looks like a great portion but the parts with the shrimp are placed on top and the bottom has the leftover rice noodles. I'd order it again though because this is the closest place to me with fresh rice noodles. SIU MAI & SHRIMP DUMPLING Meh. These were barely warm and got cold and hard so fast. Doesn't taste fresh either - would not recommend. CHICKEN FEET & SPARE RIBS (S) The spareribs were chewy and really greasy. I felt like there was a coat of oil stuck in my throat afterwards. The chicken feet was too sweet and the sauce was very chunky and gelatinous - no bueno. The way it's served just makes me think they plate cold food, microwave it, and serve it. I do love getting freshly steamed dim sum!"
