Reviews of Banana Republic
"There is nothing good about this place. The store is dirty and hardly has any product in there. If that weren’t bad enough, the staff there are SO rude. Honestly this is the worst customer service I’ve ever received. The manager and a worker fought over who had to help me when I got to the counter and when they were finally done they made it a point to make sure I knew they thought they were better than me the whole time they helped. Honestly, don’t waste your time shopping here, just go online."
"The blonde manager there was very rude. They were reluctant to do the return before they knew what it was, and then could not return our banana republic factory purchase there. That in itself would have been fine but they had a condescending attitude and told me to call customer service instead of explaining the reason. The co-manager or something came in and was fine and explained our options but still, not worth it to come back here."
"TERRIBLE customer service. As soon as I walked in the two workers (an older blonde woman and a platinum blonde man who said he was the manager) argued over who would assist me. That was incredibly rude. It made me feel bad. They spoke to me rudely and made me feel like my presence was a bother to them. When I asked for clarification on their return policy they told me to call customer service instead of clarifying. They were so mean to me and made me feel really yucky. I will not be returning. It was an awful experience."
"The worst customer service. I ordered two items from Banana Republic online and went to return them in store as they didn’t fit. They were delivered in packaging that had the Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic logos on them. Before I even took any items out of the bag or pulled up my receipts no, the salesperson (elderly white woman with an accent) looked at the bags shook her head and said “No, those aren’t from here.” I don’t know if it’s because I am a person of color or because she thought that I looked poor, but either way, what kind of service is that? I removed the items from the bag and pulled up my receipts and she seemed genuinely shocked that I had actually purchased something from Banana Republic."
"Dear God, where do I start with their staff...I'm convinced that they neither do sensitivity training nor customer service etiquette. I had a SA who had no business in my transaction stand over another and stare/eavesdrop on my conversation about whether I wanted their silly credit card or not...she stood there for the whole transaction and stared me full in the face! I guess she was the self designated BR monitor? The others were busy gossiping...while the store was busy with customers! I pulled the manager on the side to speak to him about my experience, and wouldn't you know the nosy sales associates pretended to repack clothes right next to us - and then carried the news to the others!! High school behavior from grown men and women?? Come on, BR. Represent the brand better than that. Sooo disappointed in y'all!"
