"The customer service was excellent! As soon as we walked in they greeted us and brought soup right over! The food was delicious and the serving sizes were perfect. The prices were very reasonable. I love the atmosphere and the restaurant it was very friendly and beautiful inside. I would definitely recommend ichiban."

"Food took forever to come out, but it was pretty good once it finally did. The portion was much smaller than expected, but I didn’t want to order more because it would have been another long wait so I left hungry. Otherwise, nice servers."

"It’s good to see this place back in action after damage from the tornado. They cleaned up and remodeled much of the inside and outside. Has a nice fresh feel with better lighting. Food is good as it was and service is reasonable, though not the fastest. For the price it’s a good option for Japanese style."

"This is the second time I’ve been to Ichiban on the bypass since they re-opened and both times, our order has been wrong. The first time my brother ordered a California roll, and even after asking for it 3 times, it never came and he was upset about it. Tonight, my husband and I went l, and each ordered chicken & chicken- one teriyaki style, one hibachi style. We received child’s hibachi chicken plates. I requested the extra chicken and zucchini and onions, and it was still a total mess. Granted, it was busy, but there were NO substations or anything, we ordered it exactly as it came, it should have been an easy order. One person took the order, another came to take it and I said we had already ordered. One brought our check, then took my card, then another came and brought the check again. It seems extremely unorganized since the re-opening. I never had an experience like this here before the tornado, and I will not coming back."

"Decided to stop in for lunch and although they didn’t have grills the hibachi food was good. This is the place to go for cheap beer prices—$5.50 for full size pitcher!! The lunch portions were decent size and I enjoyed it (except for the carrots). The service was good, restaurant clean and lunch was enjoyable! Would visit them again for a quick and tasty lunch."
