"We just moved to Davis and this little gem of a restaurant is in walking distance from our home. We had dinner here last night for the first time, and it's a definite repeat! We were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff, and they took our order promptly. Our food came hot and fresh, and the flavors are divine! The hot and sour soup has a perfect balanced blend, the potstickers were very tasty, the chicken chow mein and Mongolian beef a perfect combination, and the fresh and warm sesame balls melted in your mouth. My grandfather was half Chinese/half Hawaiian and made the best Chinese food, so I have a high bar of expectations with any Chinese restaurant, and Tasty Gourmet is definitely up there. Can't wait to go back!"

"Deserves the title of the best Chinese restaurant in Davis! We ordered the General Chicken, Fish with Black Bean Sauce, BBQ Pork Chow Mein, and the Fried Sesame Balls. The General Chicken is honestly the best in the area, with a crispy batter glazed in a great sauce. The Chow Mein was great as well, not too oily with fresh, crunchy vegetables. The Sesame Balls came hot out of the fryer and very flavorful. On top of the great food, the owners are amazing, going above and beyond to make sure you have a great time, and they treat you like family. Overall, some of the best Chinese food I've had in a long time at great prices with huge portions and amazing service."

"This place is a hidden treasure. Great for take out food but we ate in the restaurant. The person attending us was so caring. The food is delicious and the serving size is a great size(even for my husband which has a big appetite). I tried the general chicken with rice which was amazing but their Beef Chow Fun is really soft and delicious! We will definitely be coming more often. A new favorite!"
