"A great suburban Mexican restaurant with an array of beloved Mexican dishes in a relaxed and festive atmosphere on weekends. The service was good and food arrived in a timely fashion. The Trio of caveche was great, although a bit too liquid from what I'm used to, nachos and excellent cold and spicy salsa, chicken enchiladas with a deep rich mole was tasty."

"I have been here 5 times and the first 4 time the Atmosphere, food, and service was amazing and they have a live band playing during the late evenings. TVs to watch the games, patio seating with heater if it gets cold and the bar is good make good drinks not very strong but good. My last visit here I noticed made a couple changes new menu style and small things here and there. The service made me feel a litte unwanted. I ordered the fajitas and the steak was tough and rice was cold. Ask for new rice and got more cold and hard rice. The dishes I suggest is Ensenada, Baja, Surf and Turf, and Pechuga tacos. The Cameron's Papagayos and Cameron's Fuego. The Mango Habanero wings and cream styled corn not bad for a starter dish."

"Update 1/10/2023: My mom and I visited La Sabrosita on a rainy Tuesday evening recently. We ordered arrechera steaks as we always do. The steak was perfect, our server was focused on our needs, prices are still higher than anticipated (everything is expensive these days). One new thing that we enjoyed was the music that was playing. I grew up in the 80's and loved all of the music from that era that was playing. I enjoyed watching my 75 year old mom sing to Depeche Mode songs. We will be back. Older post: My mom and I ended up at La Sabrosita when trying to find food to go in eastern Chula Vista. We ordered 2 medium well arrechera steaks and a couple of drinks. The food was well prepared and the steaks specifically were exactly as we like it, juicy and well seasoned. The food was packaged perfectly to go and service was fast and efficient. As for price, it was high but if you consider that everything is expensive you come to the conclusion that quality costs money and today we received quality food that costs almost exactly the same as other restaurants we have visited recently. We will be back and visit specifically for breakfast."
