"The food was great, the specials and apps were awesome. Our entrees left flavor to be desired but we had both standard entrees and not the specials. Our server was incredible and the timing of the food coming out was perfect. The wine list is exquisite and extensive, along with being informative about different wines from different regions. The cocktails were very nice as well, I am a big fan of old fashioneds and ice cubes and this one is too tier. The view was great even though we were one table in from the windows you still had a great view of downtown and the bay. The atmosphere is great with noise dampening carpet and walls that doesn’t make the restaurant too loud along with smooth jazz in the background. The restaurant is very well staffed from the hostess to the waiting staff and waiter assistants. We wouldn’t hesitate to come here again for a special occasion as the price point is very high. ($75 for lobster pasta)."

"This is a restaurant where the view is fantastic. The service is amazing as well. The food quality is much lower than other premium restaurants in the area. If they improved the food quality, I believe that they would earn a solid all around 5 stars. I ordered the beef choice that was not a steak and it was dry and poorly done. The Truffle Mac and cheese was amazing. If it was not for the fabulous decor and view, it would be not be a fabulous place. I would bring in a new chef and concentrate on food quality!!"

"After a late afternoon elopement at the SD County building, our small party of 4 celebrated with a dinner at Mr A’s. From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable. As we were early for our reservation, drinks at the bar were a welcomed offer. Next we took some photos out on the patio with some of the best views of SD. Once our table was ready we were looked after by Robert (i hope that’s right?) and treated to the best food and service I have ever experienced. The wine pairings, the scallops, the desert, attention to detail, the staff, all made our wedding day perfect! Thank you for making our experience one we will never forget! Jack & Theadora"

"Mister A’s is such a lovely experience. From the ambiance, the food, the service, the live music, and the views of the city you truly get the best coming here. The area we sat in is considered the bar area where you don’t need reservations for but you still have the option to sit at a table. I think it’s better to just do that since you get entertainment along with it. The food was exceptional especially the Dover sole. I would definitely come back next time I’m in town."
