"I got the carne asada burrito and my husband got the shredded meat burrito. Non of our burritos had any pico de gallo, guacamole cheese or sour cream. Basically it was just meat and bread!"
"Roberto's-Welcome to Rancho Bernardo, finally! We have needed a legit taco shop and you are it. We have been loyal customers to Roberto's for over 30 years so having one nearby is truly a win! Per another review we tried the adobada nachos (btw I didn't see nachos on the menu but they have them) OMG I seriously could have eaten the entire dish. The chips are really good and heavy duty, the flavor of the meat is fantastic! Such a great shareable dish for game night/parties/ or just plain goodness. The Carne Asada burrito has been our go to forever. The shop is very nice, cute, clean, and has plenty of seating inside and out. Right next to Big 5, just go!!! Also, the prices are very reasonable."
"I remembered reading an article publish in San Diego that Roberto's have one of the best California burritos out there. Even a few of my friends told me about that. I was really eager to try it so I came in with very high expectations. I came in that day and I ordered a California Burrito. The service was very friendly and we even made some small talks. However, when I bite on to that burrito, I find myself underwhelmed by it. It lacks flavor. The carnie asada is dry, the French fries flavor was not there and the only other ingredient was sour cream. I felt like I was eating more tortilla than any ingredients inside. The salsa didn't really help either. Overall, I am disappointed by the burrito. Even though I did come in with high expectations, I would say that I would rate the burrito to be between below average and average to all local Mexican restaurants."
"Delicious and filling! I ordered their Surf and Turf French fries, which comes with carne asada, shrimp, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream, $13. They give you two squeeze bottles of salsa to add that extra kick to your dish. The protein and other toppings were generous, the carne asada chunks were well seasoned, the fries were fried well. Seating was plentiful, though I didn’t see a water dispenser."
"Oh nooooo .... I will come back during a busy lunch hour to give a better rating. They were basically shutting down for the night. 7:06pm mopping the floor, and scraping the bottom of the pan for beans to make my burrito. They are open Till 8pm, but I almost walked out when I was greeted by the heavy smell of floor cleaner. To make things worse, my cheese did not even melt in my burrito!!! I'm used to a grilled flour tortilla and more beans in my Roberto's burritos. I guess not all Roberto's are created equal, or they are ready to give up and let another taco shop become the best in San Diego. Keeping my fingers crossed that this was a fluke, because I always brag about Roberto's to my friends."
