"One of the worst websites I have ever used to place an order. I wanted to place an order and I wanted to see the difference between shipping it to my house and picking it up at the store. After seeing the shipping costs I decided to pick it up at the store, but I could not find an option to do that. Since I was clicking around the website looking for a simple solution to my problem, I was block. It claimed that I was clicking faster than a human could click. Hmmm. So, at this moment I cannot place an order of a product that I was having a hard time finding and Torrid is losing out on a sale. After reading the reviews I can see that I should be afraid to call and place the order over the phone because they can't get the order right if it is placed over the phone. Does the company even read these reviews? Do they realize that they are failing their customers?"
"You just lost a customer. I have been a loyal shopper with Torrid for many years. I spend thousands of dollars a year on line at at your store in Camarillo. I called to place an order and was told my rewards expired 1 day ago. I have never been able to use my rewards because they always expire, but I never get notice that I even have rewards. But you send 4 to 6 texts to me daily regarding sales. This reward expiring is ridiculously its not much of a reward anyway but to add insult to have them expire is a horrible business model. I will no longer support your company. There are amazing plus size shops on line that are less expensive and who don't play games. Bye Torrid!"
"I use to be an avid VIP, but I am so disappointed in the clothing styles. This company went from trendy millennial to clothing not even my great grandmother would wear within the last few years. The clothing quality is also very thread bare and easily unravels after one wash. It seems like after the previous CEOs meltdown online and demototion to CCO and the new CEOs background with Belk really shine through in the horrible ruffled sleeve and terrible, quilt-like flower patterns."
"I am so infuriated having to deal with Torrid customer service AGAIN I can hardly see straight. I’ve never in all of my online shopping experiences dealt with anything this unreliable with the exception of falling prey to a too good to be true fraudulent facebook ad. I pleaded an order back near the beginning of July. My package was damaged in delivery so I called CS 7/18/2023.They said a portion of my order was still being shipped and would receive it within 7 days and said they issued me a refund for the other portion and I would receive that in 5-7 days. On 7/27/2023 I still had not received the remaining order or refund and called CS. That person told me that in actuality all of the order had been shipped and so they would issue me a refund for the entire order and that would be received in 5-7days. On 8/9/2023 after still receiving nothing I called again. Where of course I was apologized to profusely and assured the matter was taken care of and I would be receiving a full refund. I was given 2 confirmation numbers and promised I would see my money in 5-7 days. On 8/23/2023 after still Nothing, I called again and asked for a supervisor. I was placed on hold for quite a while and then told the supervisor was busy but would call me within the hour. 2 hours later I placed my 6th call to CS, and spoke with supervisor “Ilene” who just repeated the other phone call, “ I apologize blah, blah blah, I don’t know what happened before, blah blah blah, I assure you this time blah blah blah”. Because at this point it truly feels like they really could care less about the customer and just blow smoke up your back end to shut you up and get you off the phone. So, I waited again. I got a refund! For $6.00!!!! Now it feels like she is just purposely laughing in my face! So I call CS again today for the 6th time! Where again, I speak with her and it’s everyone else’s fault, the systems fault, blah blah blah and assured me she has issued me a refund for the correct remaining amount and I will have it in 5-7 days. At this point it’s just pathetic!! I don’t EVER want to have to deal with Torrid customer service again!!"
"Online orders do not tell you a FINAL Sale warning at checkout. So even if your underwear is still inside a poly bag, you cannot return it or exchange it. It does not tell you in the receipt inside the bag either. So even though it was delivered to the store and brand new, I have to lose out on money because the underwear is not the same size based on material… a huge disappointment when even subscription boxes let you return/ exchange intimates."
