"We waited to be greeted for 5 mins with one lady working it looked like. We have ordered to go here but when we told her when she finally greeted us that we wanted to order to go she was insulted. And told us that she is too busy for take out and that they do not want our business unless we sit down for a table. Very rude service. Food is decently priced but not sure I’d go back after that dismissive interaction."

"Simply the one and only, best real Japanese diner in Poway, been going there for years, super consistent every time, never hit and miss, always bullseye! When you come into the shop, okami (女将) always provide excellent service and the friendliness will remind you of your old friend. We like the udon and Ramen, not world class, but they are very simple and comfort, right amount of flavor, right amount of garnishing, nothing exaggerating. Bento probably the highlight for us, flavorful main item, but the salad are always great. But the tempura are amazing! It’s not some pre-made tempura stay on rack for while, it’s hot and fresh! Not only the shrimp are savory, all veggies too! When you finish your bento, the host will bring you an ice cream at the end, it’s the imuraya matcha wafer, but carefully platted with strawberry and chocolate sauce, simple and beautiful."
