"My wife and I went on a Friday night after not having been to a Burlington in over 20 years because I'd heard they had discounted action figures. Due to traffic caused by random road work we got there later than I would have liked, but, after parking and slow walking to the door (I'm on oxygen), we got inside by about 11:41pm. Plenty of time to pass through the toy aisle and get back to the register before 12:00 midnight - their posted closing time (which is also the time that their recorded hours say they close when you call). Immediately upon entering, the Loss Prevention/Greeter informed us the store would be closing in five minutes. We double checked the time on our phones, and no, we hadn't lost 15 minutes between my truck and the front door. After attempting to confirm with the Loss Prevention/Greeter that the store closed at midnight and receiving a non-committal answer, an announcement was suddenly made stating that the store would be closing in two minutes and if customers weren't in line with our purchases within that time, they could not help us. I continued to the toy aisle as my wife went to find an employee to clarify. She was told that the computers would be shutting down at 11:45pm and the line would be closed and there was nothing the employees could do about it. As she was heading toward the back, I met her on my way to the register having found one item in the disaster area that was their toy section. We reached the registers and I waited patiently for the cashier to finish with another customer while, at least, three other employees, possibly more, went about various tasks, clearly aware that I was waiting. When my transaction was complete (which took place at 11:48pm according to my receipt, so much for the computers/registers locking down at 11:45 on the dot) I mentioned that they needed to change the recorded message on their phone line that says they're open until 12. My wife mentioned the door signage also indicated that they were open untill 12. The cashier didn't really know what to say. It was at that point that another employee intervened. She reiterated that closing time was 11:45, and we repeated that both the recorded message and door said otherwise. She replied that, yes, that was correct. When I stated that they were closing early, she immediately cut me off and repeated (strenuously) that "No, they were NOT closing early". I then reminded her of the recorded message and she claimed that was corporate's responsibility. Clearly they were closing early, but, she denied it, to my face, and her attitude was absolutely terrible. At that point I chose to leave, but I will be following up with the Store Manager, the District Manager, and Corporate. If they want to close at 11:45, that's their choice, but the signage and recording should be altered accordingly rather than waste people's time who show up after their arbitrary cut off time. Despite them having the discounted items in question, I highly doubt I'll be returning to their store. TL;DR The employees closed the store early, lied about actual closing time despite hours being posted on door, and in a recorded message at their phone number."
"Holidays coming up shoppers be aware especially men that accompany wife and kids. As you know shopping with family takes forever sometimes if in between that time you have to use the bathroom while shopping at Burlington, they have a new policy The bathrooms are for employees only . Not open to the public. Even if you're a patron keeping them in business. Men just be aware holidays are coming and we all know those long winter days."
"Only one cashier working it is 9:17 PM. There is line full of customers. They need to hire more people here. Please help. Thank you"
"The store is good. Looks new and organized."
"Only 2 cashiers here wow and this was after 7pm. The longest line and the no AC so it was extremely hot. Not only that faced some racist customers in line. Was shocked in the neighborhood but goes to show you. Then they resorted to speaking in Spanish but good thing for me a can understand most. And lady couldn’t even control her kids bumping into everyone in the check out line. Will not be coming back to this location!!!"
