"I am a San Diego native not an East Coast native I do not understand the following for this concept. I paid $15 for this cheese steak sandwich. It was decent, not bad but the entire time the only thing I could think about was buyers remorse and the really awesome beef enchiladas plate I could have got nextdoor for $14 and that l wouldn't have been hungry after"

"A good cheesesteak for San Diego. The meat was tender, juicy, and seasoned well. The bread was fresh, soft on the inside, and a little bit toasted on the outside. Grilled onions were done just right. Plenty of cheese options - I got both wiz and provolone. The sandwich itself is on the smaller side and a little bit light on meat and I felt like the fries were needed to make it a complete meal. As a Philly area native, I was satisfied and would come back here. Definitely better than Giorgino's, equal to or slightly better than Philly Franks (which are both in San Diego)"

"Delicious Philly cheesesteaks! I had the Joe’s Special and my wife had the Bell Pepper. Both were outstanding. The meat was tender, juicy and full of flavor and the bread soaked up the drippings but still held together. We devoured it. The staff was really friendly and gave advice when asked. Lots of Philly memorabilia on display and a classic Eagles game showing on the tv. Nice touch. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!"

"Have eaten here in the past and generally remembered being satisfied with service and food was good tho small portioned. From my most recent visit, my husband and i ordered a large special joe and a regular cheesesteak, ~$15 & ~$10 respectively. The meat was dry and flavorless and the price differences bw the two sandwiches is not reflected in the quantity or quality of the food. The two women working were sweet and courteous. Unfortunately, would not recommend."

"I was so blessed to learn it was the celebration of the stores original opening of 44 years., Joe came from Philly and visited San Diego and decided to dream up His own Philly cheesesteak sandwich shop in San Diego. He envisioned a great sandwich shop that would cater home type delicious food to its local customers. One that would get to know it’s regulars and give that 5 star service. Today it’s still Maintained by long time employee, Anna, who welcomes and greets you. The new owners Matt and his brother strive to perfection to continue Joes legacy. This is a great home away from home, if you’re from Philly. Unfortunately I’m not but if I was from Philly, this place takes all the (cheese) steaks. I had the original cheese steak and salad. The flavors combined with excellent service made my experience an amazing one! Definitely a must try if you’re in the area looking for something hearty and filled with love."
