"I met friends for brunch yesterday. We wanted someplace special to celebrate spring. We chose Lillian’s. BIG MISTAKE! Made a RSVP 3 weeks in advance, and after checking in with hostess, we stood and waited for 10 minutes while she figured out where to seat us. The music was so loud, bass thumping, we couldn’t talk. The server was inept and poorly trained, order was wrong and the food was cold and horrible. I had avocado toast, the avocado was crunchy, my friends sent their food back. There were lots of managers walking around but they didn’t help. How has this beautiful Inn turned into a disco, food nightmare? The valet comped my ticket, because he hears complaints a lot. Wow! I will never go back, and I suggest you don’t either!"

"We had a sumptuous, simple and relaxing lunch during a cloudy day in the gorgeous front porch of Lilian’s at the Inn. Great service, beautiful location and fantastic design inside at the bar and restaurant. Is it pricey? Sure. But it’s worth it. Avocado herb sandwich was delicious. Frites were worth fighting for."

"Didn't know what to expect but it turned out surprisingly good. When I first saw this place on hot new business on Yelp I figured let's give it a try because it already had some good reviews. It's in the nicest neighborhood in San Diego, inside a hotel, so my GPS took me to the back of the hotel and got lost while trying to find parking and the place. The salmon crudo tasted great. The wonderland dessert was creative. The lobster was a lot of work for a lot of nothing. The drinks were so-so. Price point wasn't horrible for a restaurant in the richest area in San Diego. Overall, I would come back again."

"Wow! So happy that creativity, energy and love have been put into this true gem of a place. One of the most beautiful venues in San Diego. Honestly, i used to be disappointed on a regular basis by The Inn. The new look is beautiful! The service was excellent - thank you Vivian! So rare to get good service anymore. It requires training and culture that allows staff to shine. This is a good start! I had the warm crab and avocado salad and the chicken. They were both excellent. Thank you to the Inn team so far. As a local, I hope to make this a regular spot!"

"Food and service were outstanding. Our server, Anna, was very attentive. The scallops were the best I’ve ever had! The Lilian Wonderland dessert was a work of art and so delicious! The renovation was beautiful. Just know not the place to go if you are looking for an intimate dining experience as can get loud. Truly a wonderful night of unique culinary combinations. You won’t be disappointed!!"
