"Wow just wow. I decided to go inside this place to find my 18-month old a dress. She greeted us and told us there were not any dresses available yet for children so I decided to stick around and look for myself. She asked what I was looking for and I told her I was just looking for something simple for Diwali. All was going well and she even mentioned "I can custom make dresses to your liking . . ." And all was still going well UNTIL she added in: ". . .since we do not have extra larger sizes here in the store" I looked at her in disbelief and said "how would you know what size I wear ?" She's like "I didn't mean to" and then I left. She said bye to my husband but did not even have the decency to say bye to me. This is horrible customer service. You should have left it at "I custom make dresses" but you had to make an unneeded comment about not having extra larger sizes. Why is the primary focus on body image and sizing ?? Yes, I understand that this is a clothing store BUT I have been to plenty of other stores where they just said "let me know what size you're looking for and I'll search if we have it" OR "if you're interested in a particular dress, we can take your measurements" It came off as rude and condescending. It put a damper in my mood and made me think even deeper as to how many Indian women view women like me. As Indian women, we should learn to support one another and be kind to all women despite skin tone, weight or height. There is so much learning of etiquette required in this business. Well, whether you have extra larger sizes or not, rest assured I'll never step foot in here !"
