Reviews of Tom Ham's Lighthouse
"Came for restaurant week. Had some great options on the menu. The entrees were delicious! The Verlasso Seared Salmon had the perfect crispy skin. The Braised Beef Short Ribs had rich flavors paired with a creamy truffle mashed potato that was out of this world. The views of the bay were lovely at sunset. The service was just right. Thank you and hope to be back again!"
"Beautiful restaurant. I would definitely return to dine with a view. The blueberry blonde beer is delightful. The beef BBQ plate is good. I would not order the fish and chips again. Maybe it's the way it was cooked. Batter was nice but the fish itself was leathery and flavorless. Good customer service and the view made up for it."
"Went on a double date here for Sunday brunch. Their brunch goes until 3:45 pm, which is great! Their brunch buffet variety was top tier! They have a section for pastas and omelets, and second section for traditional breakfast items; including lemon ricotta pancakes, mroccan fried chicken, French toast, bacon, sausage, salmon&lox..and much much more! The third section of this buffet was crab legs, lobster, oysters, scallops, shrimp, a seafood lovers dream! Oh and they also have a juice bar, where you can enjoy orange juice, cranberry, or pineapple. Besides the amazing food quality their views are to die for. We sat outside, it was a super sunny and summer like day when we went, but they had it nicely shaded with umbrellas. You feel like you're sitting on the water, with an unreal view of downtown San diego and Coronado Bridge. Highly recommend this place for food and views."
"I cannot believe that after living here for over 20 years, I finally made it here! I wish I'd come sooner, but it was worth the wait. I came for a private party for my friend's birthday, and I was blown away by how beautiful the views are here! The outside seating area had gorgeous views of the water and the San Diego skyline, and even from our party room, with one glass wall, you could see the beautiful entry and out to the patio. The party/event room was beautiful, and the table setting was gorgeous! Attention to detail was not lacking. It was a relatively large group with about 25 guests, and we had several dedicated servers making sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying ourselves. The food was delicious, and the service was fabulous! I have food "issues," so they quickly (and kindly) accommodated my needs, suggested items not on our prefixed menu, and ensured I had what would suit my dietary restrictions. The experience I had from attending this party was so incredible that I plan to return with my husband for date night and girlfriends for girl's night! There was continuity in the food, drinks, aesthetics, and service, which was all great! This particular night was their team's collaboration, but I must say that Sarah Villegas was the nicest, most professional one there, ensuring everyone had a wonderful time. I recommend Tom Ham's!"
"Four of us came in for a family dinner and loved this place. We ordered soup, four different seafood plates, and a bottle of wine. This is the best seafood restaurant I have eaten at in San Diego! You also get beautiful views of the harbor, you see boats go by, and in our case, we had a full moon in the sky! We were too full to order dessert, but would love to come back for just drinks and dessert."
