"SUNSHINE KITCHEN WAS PRETTY GOOD AND NOT TOO BAD. Excellent really, wish I could give it a 4.5 stars. The rice was pretty good and the sushi was better. My wife and I shared the teriyaki diner plate. The dish came with lots of stuff. It was essentially a little sampler. We also got the fried chicken appetizer. Just wanted to diversity our portfolios. I'd definitely go back here. Sushi was not bad Ok Bye Wait, the toilet was so weak, it couldn't even handle toilet paper. -.5"

"If you're looking for a good sushi spot away from the mayhem this little place is it. Sunshine Kitchen is comparable, if not better than Harneys a pricey option downtown. Depending on your vibe for the night this quiet place will deliver."

"I ordered the Tempura Combo, priced at $11.00. The combo included 2pc Gyoza dumplings (chicken), 3pc Tempura shrimp, and teriyaki chicken served on steamed white rice with onions, scallions, and carrots. My overall impression of the food was just alright. Unfortunately, my experience started on a sour note as the server initially brought me the wrong item. However, to their credit, they promptly corrected the mistake. The Gyoza dumplings left much to be desired as they were neither crispy nor hot, suggesting they might have been pre-fried and left sitting in the kitchen for a while. The Tempura batter, instead of being crispy, was disappointingly soggy and soft. Additionally, the teriyaki sauce proved to be too sweet for my liking. On a positive note, the redeeming factor is the affordability of the menu. The prices are quite reasonable, making it a budget-friendly option."

"Conveniently located off the Interstate which gave us a break from being in traffic. Sunshine Kitchen is located on the opposite end of Wal Mart Neighborhood Market next door to a taco shop and Pho place. Huge outdoor patio with heaters. It’s a Japanese restaurant serving curries, rice bowls, plates, rolls, poke, fried rice, ramen, yakisoba/udon, hot soba/udon, salads and sides. We ordered: -spicy garlic edamame: Great garlicky sauce -Takoyaki: The least fav of all, it was a giant ball that had too much wheat flour that we just plucked out the tiny bit of octopus -chicken karaage curry over steamed rice: We asked for a higher spice level and it had all the right spice and curriness. -Oceanside roll: OMG this roll is so good. Fresh thin slices of avocado and soft shell crab. Inside had more crab and shrimp tempura. -Dinner plate #2 (chicken teriyaki over fried rice, 2 gyoza, mix tempura, Japanese potato salad, and green salad): Had a mix of everything. My fav was the Oceanside roll with the soft shell crab and avocado topping. The dinner plate was huge but I’m not a fan of the teriyaki sauce. It was thicker than normal and overly sweet. I was surprised a small place that has their hands dipped in everything may not be as good but I was wrong. The service was wonderful. You order and pay first before you sit. Sunshine Kitchen is on our list to return if we need to dodge traffic again. 4.5 stars, bumping to a 5"

"Best Japanese north of Convoy!! And probably better than most down there! Great pricing! So fresh! Great service! Inside is very clean…. No sushi bar though! The ramen and fried rice are the best! Gonzo quality! I got to go and was still so good"
