"My family absolutely loves this place. It’s so charming, it’s quiet, a hole in the wall is the best way to describe the place. I don’t understand why they aren’t more busy than they are because its VERY good and reasonably priced. Oceanside has a lot of taco stands but not a lot of Mexican restaurants and this place takes the cake. We’ve been 5ish times and every single one is consistently good and they are so understanding of our toddler. The crispy deep fried potato tacos are so yummy, the chimi is good, my husband’s fajitas were great. The kids meal is even awesome. I can’t say enough good things. I am SO glad we took a chance here."

"Ok … sooooo… the place was disappointing other than the staff. The folks working there were very nice, the food and atmosphere on the other hand need a lot of work. I know good Mexican food and this is not it. I had the carne asada plate and though the portions are generous, the delivered product was what I’d come to expect from the chow halls I’ve frequented during many years in the service. The steak was flavorless and the rice was what appeared to be from a box. There was no seared pepper as one would expect from this dish. I wish I could make sense of the place, had a dead earwig on the seat in the booth and it was annoying to have constantly chase flies away from our meals."

"This location is a family owned authentic Mexican.They are known for the adobada. The green salsa is home made with a special kick. Nice seating area. Indoor or outdoor. Liz our cashier was such a delight. She helps her family running this location. If you want to support your local businesses. Try the "La Hacienda" and bring a big appetite."

"This wonderful restaurant has been serving cuisine representative of central Mexico (Mexico City) for over seventeen years. An example of central Mexican influence is their enchiladas Suizas which features a creamy green sauce as opposed to the red enchilada sauce featured in most Mexican restaurants. They are simply to die for and worth the trip in their own right. La Hacienda is also known locally for their spicy serrano salsa and their tacos, or their pastor rotisserie which is cooked and served on the patio on the weekends. They also feature a large ballroom style banquet room available for larger functions and events or they are also happy to cater your events at your location. La Hacienda has been a prominate member of the Oceanside business and culinary culture for a generation, it is where residents bring their family's when they visit from out of town."
