"Boss Lobster Roll means BOSS business! Based on some reviews, I was worried about the amount of lobster. However, I was NOT disappointed! Perfect texture, cook, and buttery flavor... this lobster means business! I was surprised how fresh the lobster was - due to how far it had to travel, but it tasted like home. The bun is made at a local bakery and leaves you eager for another boss lobster roll! The lobster bisque was exceptional and perfect to soak up leftover bun pieces. An exceptional meal tasting high end and of high quality ingredients. Service was superb. The only con was parking. Yikes. I circled for thirty minutes before I drove back to our airbnb and walked lol. I would have walked originally, but my mother is handicapped and needs help. Therefore, I was unable to just let her out and park a ten minute walk away. I do not say this to keep you from visiting.. one must! I just say this as it was an important factor for my family due to a disability."

The restaurant’s convenient location and the option for outside seating added to the overall pleasant dining experience. The highlight of my meal was the delicious lobster roll, paired perfectly with their rich and flavorful clam chowder. It was a delightful discovery, and I’m truly grateful that I found this gem. "So good!! Sampled all 3 types (lobster roll, crab roll, shrimp roll) and was surprised I loved them all. Personally, I think Standard meat is plenty - no need to add extra portions."

"I had a great experience here today. So much so I will be back to try some more menu options. I had the lobster roll and very much enjoyed it. The bread on a sandwich can be make or break and in this case the toasted butter bread made it! I would recommend a few sides or a soup as the sandwich was on the smaller side, but it depends on appetite. It is an expensive sandwich, but it is La Jolla and this should be expected, I didn't feel ripped off. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Thanks again, Andy"

"It’s a well placed restaurant with a very pleasant eating environment. It doesn’t feel like anyone is sitting on top of you although the space is small. The service was absolutely amazing. The clam chowder I thought was good. Wasn’t the best I’ve had but definitely not the worse either. The lobster roll is done traditionally and i do concur with some of the reviews regarding the crab being chewy. However, it wasn’t soo bad that we couldn’t enjoy our food. It is pretty expensive but even in Maine/ New England Area lobster rolls are $30+. I’ll recommend others try it, but personally, I won’t be back."
