"Very poor customer service with trying to handle an exchange. Would not recommend going to this location."

"I was in the changing room for maybe 5 minutes when one of the employees began knocking on the door. This wasn’t to find a fitting room for someone else. It felt like they thought I was stealing, as the same employee kept following me around when I was browsing. I walked from The Fairmont hotel to find a bathing suit last minute because the day by the pool was warmer than expected and I didn’t feel like driving home for one. Either way it made me really uncomfortable and I felt profiled for being black. Maybe don’t do that in the middle of a customer changing into a bathing suit."

"Really cool store with skate and surf gear, brands, hats and accessories. The store is pretty clean and laid out well. The staff is okay and helpful When you ask them a question. Overall a pretty good place to check out a nice selection of some SoCal brands. It's in a really good location, so they should get us steady stream of foot traffic."

"Called ahead to confirm I could exchange a pair of shoes I had worn once. The person on the phone said it would be fine to exchange it for a larger size . When I came to the store the manager said he couldn't do it and to "read the receipt." Do not patronize your customers. Perhaps his staff should be aware of store policies so they can inform people correctly before wasting their time. Finding parking in Santa Monica is not fun."

"The store is usually neat and organize, which I give the staff kudos for because I’m sure keeping a store like Tilly’s in reasonable order is a challenge. Customer service is very hit or miss though, and we have had both good days and bad days shopping here"
